Germany's vision was getting darker and darker by the minute.

This was right. So he would be gone and the world would be a better place.

Yeah..... It really would.

He started to see light.

Was this it? Was he finally going?

Wait... Through the dark stops in his vision, he could see a man looking down at him in the tub. He was glowing.

It was the guy he saw last year. The one with long blond hair who looked like him.

The guy was giving him a sad look.

Through the water, he heard the man say something.

"Not your time yet my son."

Before Germany could completely blackout. He suddenly felt something grab him and pull him back up.

He took deep breaths and looked around the bathroom.

The guy was gone. He was the only one here.

But who was he? And why did he say my son?

Maybe he misheard that. There was no way he said my son.

Germany then realized he was shaking. A lot.

He looked back down at the water in tub and quickly got out. As he did, he started to cry a bit.

He had been so close but sonething had pulled him out and he wasn't man enough to try and go through with it again.

Weak.

Germany put a towel on and walked back into his room.

With shaky hands, he got dressed and laid in bed.

He shook under the sheets.

Why couldn't he do it again? He was such a burden to the world.

And who was that guy?

He heard a door slam open, "Germany!!!" America yelled, "Germany!!!"

He didn't bother moving from bed.

But Alfred must be a quick runner or something because he suddenly heard knocks at his door, "Germany!! Great News!!"

"What is it?" He called out,"You can come in!!"

America opened the door and frowned at the state of Germany. "Dude, you okay?"

He had red eyes and looked like he was shaking.

"Ja," He nodded, "I'm fine. What's the news?"

America didn't believe him but he knew that Germany didn't want him to push it.

He could read the atmosphere, you know.

"Russia finally agreed. You and your family can have your reunion!!"

Canada walked into view, "Yeah."

Germany looked shocked.

No.

He couldn't see his family.

He disappointed them so much. That's why the world was looking down on them now.

No.

He wouldn't go. He couldn't go.

"I'm sorry America, Canada," He said, "But I have changed my mind. I can't go to the reunion."

"Why not?" Canada asked as America looked shocked.

"I just can't.... But thank you for convincing Russia that my bruder and Hungary can see my other sibli- Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Austria."

Would they even like being called his siblings?

"Germany," Canada said, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

Bull.

"Germany, they miss you. You deserve to see th-"

"No I don't," He said, "After everything I have done. I pulled them all down with me. I do more harm than good." He turned around in bed, "Goodnight."

"But...." America said..... Canada put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.

They walked out and Alfred closed the door.

"He's backtracking Mattie," America looked down.

Canada could only nod, "I know."
He didn't know what else to say.

America sighed.... What do they do?

Back in the room, Germany was sobbing.

It had hurt to say that he didn't want to go to the reunion. It really did.

A few months ago, he would have been so excited for this. But.... but now...

He didn't deserve this and he knew it.
