ONLY SLIGHTLY EDITED. Have fun y'all.

"Liar!" Leif and I turned as Dalia slapped Becker across the face so hard, Becker had a case of whiplash.

He turned and glared at her. "What did I do!?" He asked, sounding guilty.

Dalia stomped her foot and then pointed to a door. "You said you could help him! AND YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING!" She cried, her blue eyes sending liquid down her cheeks.

Becker grabbed her shoulders. "Mate bonds are stronger than ninety percent of Magic. Him and Melloni's bond wants him to sleep, so he's sleeping." He was trying not to yell.

Dalia almost collapsed to the floor but Becker held her up, resting his chin on her head. "Becker please wake him up. Bring Arlis back for me. Please fix something."

Becker closed his eyes, one tear fell onto her hair from his eyes. "I tried. I promise you I tried." He said brokenly.

I felt like I shouldn't of been seeing this moment, like it was sacred, and turned around. I turned back to Leif and watched as he frowned at them. He looked like he was going to cry too.

"Leif?"

He jumped in his skin and then relaxed, facing me. "Yeah?"

"You okay?" I asked.

He shook his head. "Something isn't right. My wolf is howling, pacing, shaking his fur out. Luna, you have to help me."

Luna. "I... I wish I knew how to help you. I don't know what to... do." I felt bad saying that, but it was the truth.

Leif tugged at his hair. "I don't know either." He sighed and leaned against the white wall next to us. "I don't either." He closed his eyes and rubbed his temples, leaning over so his hands were on his knees.

I walked to him and rubbed his back. There had to be something that could help him. Anything. What would Arlis do?

Maybe... research. Like the books Snow gave me for Christmas. "C'mon, I have an idea."

We started to walk out of the hospital when I saw Myshayla, glaring at me. "You go lay back down IMMEDIATELY." She threatened. "You're not healed yet."

I didn't have to listen to her. She didn't scare me anymore. I knew my boundaries, I slightly knew what I had controlled over. "No. I need to help Leif. I'm the Luna, I'm going to act as such."

Her pride didn't flinch to my tone or my power. "Arlis tried that with me. So did his father. They both ended up back in their bed. Go lay down." She took a step closer.

I looked at Leif and gulped. If Arlis and his father listened to her... I probably should too. Right? "Go grab the stack of binders off of my kitchen counter and bring them back here." I instructed and then looked at Doctor Myshayla. "I don't want to go back. I have stuff to do, I have to find Arlis, I—"

"Honey your neck is bruised and you really shouldn't even be able to speak. Luckily, Becker has helped your healing process. I don't care what he's done, however. Go lay back down." She pointed to the door with an angry face. I knew she was just trying to help but I hated her.

I went and laid back down.

About an hour later, Leif showed back up. He was sweaty and tired. He looked around the room nervously, licking his lips. "Here's the books." He set them down beside me, and then wiped his forehead. "Are you sure these will help?"

I shook my head sadly, not wanting to lie and tell him what he wanted to hear. "Can you get Dalia?"

He widened his eyes and then blew out a hard breath, sitting down in the chair in my room. "We're not talking."
