Oct 22, Ps 56

I didn't do this yesterday cause I didn't get home from coffee house till about 11:00, and I had an early shift today, so needed sleep.

Psalm 56:1-13 KJV
[1] Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

[2] Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

[3] What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
Trust in the Lord.

[4] In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Do not fear what man can do to your mortal body, man can do nothing to your soul!

[5] Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

[6] They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

[7] Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

[8] Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
He sees every tear that falls from your eyes.

[9] When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
And if God if for for me, who can be against me?

[10] In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.

[11] In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

[12] Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

[13] For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
This really is a beautiful psalm, and this last verse is especially beautiful and reassuring. If God cares so much for you that He sent His only Son to die for your sins and save you from death, do you really think He won't save you from falling?

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You so much for everything You have done for us, thank you that we can put our trust in You and that nothing can harm us when we are in Your care. Thank You that You care so much for us that not one hair can fall from our heads without Your knowing. Thank You. Father I ask that You bless the games night I am hosting tomorrow, please let the unbelievers I have invited see how different us Christians are, how hopeful we are. Please help me be a witness to my coworkers. Please bless and keep everyone in my prayer journal, in Jesus's name, Amen
