^Rose wedding song^
Luca
I watch carefully as Ava walks down the aisle in a puffy pink dress, sprinkling rose petals everywhere. My pulse increasing with each second. Rose's favourite music playing beautifully, as Darcy and Chloe follow behind Ava.
My heart stops, my knees buckle, my arms begin to tremble. Daniel by her side as she comes around the corner shortly after her bridesmaids.
My happiness beaming, I'm the luckiest man in the entire world. My breath-taking bride standing on the other side of the aisle, her bright eyes shimmering in the sun light. Her skin glowing, she's a goddess, beyond anything I could ever imagine. Her dress shaping her figure in such a sexy but elegant way, her arms and shoulders bare of any material.
As she begins to walk slowly towards me, I can't seem to get my head around it. Any of this. How did I deserve such a gorgeous woman? I messed up in the past, majorly.Yet, she still forgave me, here we are. Nearly six years ago we met in a gross club in London, now I'm standing here, in an incredible garden looking over a lake and a luxurious manor house behind her.
I can't control the muscles in my face, I cover my mouth with my hand as every powerful emotion and feeling I have for this girl doubles. My eyes welling up uncontrollably, that's when the tears fall. I feel my shoulder being squeezed as I sob into my palm. Trying to keep calm I turn slightly, my dad looking down at me with a smile so proud and genuine, I almost burst into tears.
"I'm so proud of you my son, she's remarkable." He whispers into my ear. I smile at him, his eyes slightly glassed over. He gives me another shoulder squeeze, before diverting his eyes back towards my girl.
Both of our family and friends watch in awe, as she gracefully walks down the aisle. Towards me. Her blonde hair curled beautifully and her makeup flawless yet natural, her smile overpowering, causing my stomach to flip. This right here is sweet agony, every step taking forever for her to get to me. The closer she gets the more beautiful she becomes, until she's standing in front of me, overwhelmingly stunning. This angel dressed head to toe in white, is my bride.
I reach her face, cupping her soft cheek. Her eyes bold yet teary as I press our foreheads together, I close my eyes taking in a deep breath. Her smell as sweet, as delicious as it was the night I met her, all those years ago. This feeling is crazy, suffocating almost. She's going to be my wife. Rose Harrington will be mine forever.
I lean down kissing her pink lips gently before pulling away, never leaving her gaze. My mind dazed and my body relaxed. This is everything I have ever wanted. "I love you so much." I press my forehead against hers again, stroking her jaw with a light pressure. Her warm breath fanning my face. I've never felt so sure on anything in my entire life.
"I love you Luca, so much." She whispers. I can't hold in the smile anymore, I never imagined this would ever happen to me. I am marrying the love of my life, my soulmate.
The room blindingly white, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, grand circular tables scattered across the stunning room. Roses in different colours placed on every table, our guests seated accordingly. Daniel standing next to me, the microphone to his mouth. Everyone laughing with every word, as he makes his speech. I try to listen but everything's become a blur, I lay my eyes on my Rose. My wife.
"Will everyone raise a glass to Luca Haynes and his wife, my baby sister Rose. I hope your life is full of endless happiness. I love you both." I step out of my thoughts, everyone's glasses raised in the air. I quickly copy everyone and that's when Daniel sits down, passing me the microphone. Here it goes.
Taking a deep breath, I push my chair back as I stand up slowly, everyone's eyes on me. Reaching into my suit pocket, pulling out a piece of paper with my speech on two sides.
"Evening." I speak into the microphone, my hands trembling. I clear my throat quietly, I don't know why I'm so scared to speak in front of everyone. I've made many speeches in my time at work. But this is different, this is my wedding day.
"Thank you, Daniel, for those kind words. I had prepared a superb speech for you today, but unfortunately, now that I am married - I've been told to read this one instead." Everyone laughs but I draw my attention to her, she's watching me so intensely I can hardly breathe. I give her a warm smile before looking out towards our guests.
"Family and friends, on behalf of my wife and I, I would like to thank everyone for coming here today. It means so much to have everyone we love and care about here to share our special day, I would also like to take a moment to think about those absent today." I look down at her again; she's biting her bottom lip. Jesus she's perfect.
"Rose's dad, who I can imagine is looking down on us with a smile. He would be so proud of the gentle and incredible woman that you are, I never had the honour of meeting him, but I know he was a great man and he loved you very much." Her eyes soaking with tears, reaching down and holding her hand I squeeze it tight.
"Today is everything I ever hoped for and so much more, I never want it to end. I would like to say thank you to Sonia, my mother in-law, for welcoming me into her family, Daniel. My best friend and now brother in-law, I promise with every part of my soul that I will love, protect and cherish Rose until the day I die." I look towards him, he nods his head gently, smiling up at me. Believing every word.
We buried that hatchet only days after I came back from New York, he welcomed me with open arms and we sat and talked for hours.
"Rose, my darling." I look down at her again, trying to keep a calm breath. I study the words written on the paper, realising I've not looked at the speech since my opening line. I place it on the table, turning my body to face her and gripping the microphone with both hands."The night I met you, almost six years ago, I never expected this. I thought you were hot-" I tell her, everyone begins to chuckle including Rose, I join in for a second before bringing the mic back up to my mouth.
"Seriously, I thought you were hot, but I never in my wildest dreams did I see this. I messed up not far into our relationship, I still regret missing two years of what we could've had. I'm trying to make it up to you, so here I stand before you and everyone we care about, I couldn't be more in love with you. You are the most beautiful person I have ever known, you are strong and brave and so gorgeous it's unbelievable. You are my soulmate, my best friend, my world and I cannot wait to cherish you forever." My voice shaking, my hands trembling as I hold onto the microphone, but I never take my eyes off hers. Tears rolling down her face, my own falling from my eyes.
"I promise to love you, respect you, treasure you and honour you forever. I feel like the luckiest man alive. I love you. So,if everyone could raise a glass to my beautiful wife, Rose Haynes! You are my forever!" I lift my drink into the air, our eyes still locked.
Cheers and claps fill the room as she stands up, wrapping her arms around my shoulders, connecting our lips in a passionate kiss that I know I will never forget. I finally have my forever, with the woman of my dreams. My angel, my stunning and delicious Rose.
