We were in the middle of playing when dylan stood up and started rubbing his eyes. " aww is someone sleepy " i said. " yea " he said. I laughed and my phone started ringing. I looked at it and saw i was getting a facetime from brandon.
Evelyn: Hey b
Brandon: Hey eve
Dylan: eve who are you talking too
Brandon: who are you with
Evelyn: Come here dylan i want you to meet someone. Dylan meet brandon. brandon meet dylan
Brandon: Hey buddy

Evelyn: No we just finished playing right dyl

I got up and left the room taking brandon with me.
Brandon: so are you staying there
Evelyn: yea i even have a room

Evelyn: About to warm up his milk
Brandon: wait but isn't he in the 1st grade
Evelyn: yea but he likes to drink warm milk out of a sippie cup it helps him sleep i guess

I walked back into his room and saw him playing. " no no no time for bed " i said putting the phone down. " but i don't want to go to sleep " dylan whined. " but you just said you were tired " i said. " yea but i'm not anymore " he said. " dyl " i said. " fine " he said walking up to his bed. I tucked him in and i handed him his milk. " plus you don't have school tomorrow so we get to hang out all day " i said. " oh yea " he said. " do you want to watch netflix " i asked. " yea " he said. I put on his show and about 5 minutes in he was already asleep. I looked over and smiled then I walked over to him and kissed his forehead. " nite dyl " i said grabbing my phone and walking out.
Brandon: your going to be an amazing mom
Evelyn: oh stop it
Brandon: no for real
Evelyn: hold on be quiet i'm about to walk into my dads room to say goodnight
Brandon: ok
I walked into my dads room and saw him knocked out on the bed. I smiled and walked over to him but as i got closer my smile went away and i busted out into tears. I covered my mouth and walked out of his room so i wouldn't wake him up.
Brandon: eve why are you crying is everything ok
Evelyn: he said he would stop
Brandon: where are you right now
Evelyn: in my room now
Brandon: ok now close the door and tell me what happened
Evelyn: one of the reasons why my parents split up is because my dad started doing drugs and got addicted to them fast
Brandon: so then why does he have your brother
Evelyn: because he said he would stop and he did he showed us that he stopped but i guess he started once again
Brandon: so then what are you going to do
Evelyn: i don't know
Brandon: damn i'm sorry
Evelyn: ik but he said he would stop and whats the first thing i see on the first night
Brandon: what
Evelyn: needles
Brandon: wow
Evelyn: yea well i'm gonna go to sleep or cry some more still not sure
Brandon: no don't cry baby just know that i love you so much

Brandon: maybe just for tonight

I put my phone down and sighed. I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning
I woke up around 9 and got out of bed. I walked into dylans room and saw that he was still asleep so i walked into my bathroom and brushed my teeth then showered. Once i was done i put on a simple outfit.

I looked in the mirror and liked my outfit then i walked downstairs. " good morning eve " my dad said kissing my head. " good morning dad " i said giving him a fake smile. I scrolled through instagram when i decided to go check up on dylan. I walked in and saw him waking up. " good morning sleepy head " i said. " good morning eve " he said making me smile. " hey u wanna hang out all day " i asked. " YEA " he said. " ok come on lets get you ready " i said. " ok " he said. " wait u wanna match " i asked. " YES " he yelled. " ok come on " i said. I pulled out a hoodie and blue jeans. " u don't have the same shoes as me " i said. " dad doesn't buy me shoes " he said. " so then i'll buy them for u " i said making him smile. I got him dressed then took him to brush his teeth. I picked him up and took him downstairs. " hey dad can we borrow your car " i asked. " for what " he said. " i wanna hang out with dylan all day " i said. " oh ok then yea also don't be back home until 8 " he said. " uhh ok then bye dad " i said grabbing his keys. We got into the car and i drove off. " i'm hungry " dylan said. " where do u want to go " i asked. " ihop " he said. " ok " i said. Once we got to ihop when got out of the car and walked in. " hi how may i help you " the lady said. " hi can i get a table for 2 " i said. " sure follow me " she said. We followed her and we got seated. I was about to look at the menu when i got a call.
