Chapter - 28

   The next morning Pha woke up to see Forth's sleeping face. His lips were in a slight pout and eyebrows furrowed. Pha felt a bit calm as he felt Forth's breath warm his face rhythmically. His fingers reached the fringe of Forth's hair and they gently swept it neatly across his forehead.

   Pha wanted to be angry at him but deep down he knew he couldn't scold him any further than Forth was already doing to himself. As much as he didn’t want the baby to be Forth's, there was nothing he could do about it.

   Forth shifted closer towards Pha, placing an arm over him. He was beginning to mumble in his sleep incoherently.

   "Oyyy, Forth, stop talking in your sleep" Pha's voice woke Forth from his not so deep slumber. His arms enveloped around Pha tighter.

   "You're really hot" he mumbled, oblivious that he had. Pha's lips pursed as they were forming a small smile.

   Forth squinted at Pha as his eyes adjusted to the light. He hugged Pha like a teddy bear and pulled him on top of him as he lay on his back. Pha groaned as he braced himself over Forth by his arms.

   "If you think that we're going to do it right now, then I suggest you wake up from that fantasy because there'll be no skin ship or sex till your little friend moves out"

   Forth was now wide awake and in disbelief of what Pha just had said, "Owwhh, why do you always use that against me? I bet I can survive" He stuck his tongue out at Pha.

   Pha scoffed at him, "Yeah, right! You practically survive on sex"

   It was Forth's turn to scoff now, "Do not! I find that accusation mean and unnecessary"

   "Oh yeah? When was the last time we didn’t have sex?" Pha raised an eyebrow and smiled smugly, knowing he was going to win over Forth.

   "Umm.. last night.. hah!" Forth felt truly satisfled now.

   "Oh, and what did you do the night before, and the night before that, and that...the list goes on! And besides, I was angry at you last night" Pha looked away from him as the memories of the day before came back.

   Forth sighed. He cupped Pha's chin and made him face him again.

   "KhorThot.. I am really sorry for the pain I've caused you"

   Pha looked into his eyes. They were full of sincerity and concern. He couldn't help but feel a part of him forgive Forth to some extent. He kept quiet for a while until Forth broke the silence, "I know, I'll take you out to start making up for it, yes?"

   Pha became more curious and couldn't help but show some happiness on his face.

   "Is that a smile I see?" Forth teased, "You're handsome when you smile...and cute when you blush"

   Pha buried his pink face into Forth's chest. "What about May?" His voice was a bit muffled.

   "What about her? Come on baby, I’ll buy you anything you want. What do you say?"

   Pha contemplated it over in his head and in the end decided to go along with it, "Ok P'Forth! But you better buy me ice cream and not try to carry me back home on your back again!"

   Forth pulled Pha by his hand towards a photo booth, "Forth, I don't want to" Pha whined.

   Forth looked back and smiled sweetly, "Oh please, please, please! Don't you want a souvenir of this day where your gorgeous husband decides to treat you?"

   "Pfft, gorgeous?" Pha rolled his eyes at him, "Fine"

   Forth inserted the coins and began posing with Pha. He couldn’t help but laugh at Forth all the while as he pulled weird faces into the camera. Pha couldn’t pose well at all, as his stomach began to ache with laughter. When they looked at the pictures, Pha was still hysterically laughing.

   "Idiot!" Pha finally stated to him. Forth looked at Pha with a satisfied smile. He was glad that he had finally made him laugh ever since May had showed up on their door step. He could have listened to Pha's laugh all day.

   Pha stopped laughing and he took the effort to compose himself. He whistled out a breath and looked back at Forth, "Ok Mister, you, me, ice-cream, now"

   "Yes Sir" Forth saluted and lead the way to the ice-cream parlour.

   They both went up to the counter and Forth read out their order to the waitress, "One chocomint and one stir-fried ice cream please"

   Pha smiled to himself, happy over the fact that Forth remembered his favourite ice-cream. They both then went to sit down in one of the window seats with their ice-creams. Pha slowly spooned the ice-cream and put it in his mouth.

   Forth however was nearly at his last spoonful of ice-cream and as soon as he was finished, he sighed with content, letting his icy breath tingle at his lips. "Man, that ice-cream may have been better than sex"

   Pha abruptly looked up at him and raised an eyebrow, "What?" Forth's voice sounded like he was seriously crazy.

   "What?" Forth shrugged defensively, "I can't help the way I feel"

   Pha rolled his eyes at Forth yet again, "Pfft... better than sex...hmph" he mumbled quietly as he dug into his ice-cream.

   Forth chuckled over what Pha said under his breath. He lifted Pha's face closer to his, "But you’re sexier" his cool voice made Pha's hair stand up and send shivers all the way to his finger tips. Forth placed his lips on Pha's, only pecking it at first. He pulled back and smiled, "Oops, sorry, no skin ship right?"

   Pha groaned inwardly and finished the last spoon of his ice-cream, 'What a stupid rule!'

   They were walking down the street. Forth laced his fingers between Pha's and began swinging his arm a little, making Pha's arm swing along with him.

   "Baby...?"

   "Hmm"

   They both still walked down the street, both secretly smiling.

   "If you were pregnant, would you want it to be a girl or a boy?" Forth asked.

   Pha puffed out his cheeks, wondering why he was asking, and whether he was planning on anything too.

   "A boy..." Pha looked down at his feet when he heard Forth say, "Why?"

   "Because, I want him to be able to have a little sister and protect her and...be as handsome as you" Pha looked at Forth's face, which was quite pink. His eyes looked back in front again.

   "So...how many children would you want then?" Forth pondered on.

   "Why are you asking Forth?" Pha was getting more curious about his motives.

   Forth looked defensive now, but then shrugged, "Just because"

   Pha scrutinized over him, "Are you planning to adopt or something?"

   "No! I just always thought that if I did have kids then it should be with you" Forth looked up at the sky and puffed his cheeks as if hoping to magically evade the awkwardness. Pha felt giddiness within himself, but decided to stay tranquil on the outside.

   "Huh.. I guess maybe three" Pha said and walked ahead leaving a smiling Forth.
