Everything was falling down, the curtains had burnt to ashes and so had all the other books inside the library. The shelves were burning and the room was filled with smoke which escaped through the windows. Aleksei and Maks sat in a corner, Aleksei held the books into his arms while Maks lay unconscious beside him.

Suddenly, he heard a powerful violin from the smoke. Maks woke up after hearing the violin. Aleksei looked at Maks and then they both looked at the smoke. Aleksei passed the books to Maks and got up. He walked into the smoke and the voice of the violin got louder. He looked through the burning books. Among them was a golden book which wasn't burning but was glowing golden.

He pulled it out of the shelf and realised that it wasn't a book but a golden box. It was hot to touch. The voice seemed to be coming from it but as soon as he touched the box, the voice stopped.

He stared at the box which resembled a music box except for the voice it produced. It read in Latin,
"The living memories of the Earl, Avgustin Obolensky, lady Laura Obolensky, their son Evgeni Obolensky and daughter Vierne Obolensky."

So, was that an album? He opened the box slowly. It was empty. Aleksei was about to close it when he heard faint music and as the music grew louder, the smoke around him disappeared.

Laura was playing the piano and Avgustin was playing the violin while standing inside the rose garden, right before the sparkling fountain. Their instruments were white, resembling their platinum hair. Evgeni sat beside his mother, looking at her fingers gently push the keys of the piano.

The floor tiles were white and blue roses surrounded them. After the piece finished, he got up and clapped. They looked at each other and smiled. The lady maid and the valet stood outside the garden. The lady maid had skin as black as ebony and black hair, black eyes. The valet had skin as white as snow, silver hair and silver-grey eyes. They both bowed, "Dinner is ready,"

"Well then," Avgustin loosened the bow and wrapped the violin back into its case. He kept it beside the piano and both the violin and the piano disappeared into thin air.

"Let's have some food," Laura picked Evgeni into her arms and they walked into the mansion. The mansion was decorated with blue tiles and silver gemstones. It looked grand and extravagant. They sat at the table and Laura fed Evgeni.

"Feline, you've got Evgeni's medicines?" She asked and the lady maid passed her a tonic and a spoon. Laura poured the medicine into the spoon and brought it near Evgeni's face. He pulled his face away,

"No, medicine is bad. Tastes awful!"
"And here I thought Evgeni was a brave, young boy," Avgustin said.
"But alas, he's scared of something as tiny as medicines!"
"I am not scared!" Evgeni took his tonic and made an ugly face.

"There there," His mother picked him up, "Let's put you to bed now."
They walked through the halls of the mansion while the valet left with Avgustin towards his room.

She pressed Evgeni on a huge bed and kissed his forehead. She looked at the pendant around his neck, with his name on it. She smiled and looked into his eyes, "Mama,"
"Yes?"
"Sing me that song again," Evgeni requested.
"You like it?"
"Yes,"

"Well, you should sing it too. We can sing a duet,"
"I like listening,"
"Okay then,"
