Our living room had quickly filled with Sam's guests and I was just waiting for Calum to arrive while making some small chat with everyone. There were a few people I didn't know yet but everyone here had something to do with music. Which was just great because that meant everyone could easily talk with anyone without having trouble finding a topic. I kept an eye on Sam the whole time but she was just talking and laughing with her friends and being followed around by two over attached dogs.
When Calum walked through the door, I quickly excused myself from the conversation and walked over.
"Dude, if you're going to tell me again to keep my mouth shut, I will." He said a little annoyed as I reached him. "I'll make sure I don't end up wasted but I just want to celebrate my friend's birthday today and hug your dogs."
