Sam: Hey Ash
Sam: you there?
Ashton: yes yes
Ashton: do you need me to bring you anything from the store when I come back from Cal's?
Sam: no
Sam: but can you come home
Sam: like right now
Ashton: do you need cuddles?
Sam: no, we are having a little girl.
Ashton: i know
Sam: hopefully within 12 hours because otherwise this will be very long and painfull
Ashton: wait WHAT
Ashton: Sam???
Sam: yeah my contractions are getting more frequent and my water just broke so we kinda have to go
Ashton: why the fuck did you not call me earlier
Sam: because I thought we had more time. Idk usually it takes a while. Everything is just changing very fast
Ashton: I'm on my way, Cal is driving us
Ashton: are you okay?
Sam: yeah yeah I'm fine
Sam: I'm ready to become a mom so she better hurries up
Ashton: I'll be there in two minutes
Sam: okay, I already got the go bag!
Ashton: could she not wait two more days when we had the C section sheduled anyway?
Sam: she's stubborn like me
Ashton: fuck we're going to be parents
Ashton: we're finally going to meet our little girl
Sam: took her long enough to show up
Sam: I already called my mom so can you call yours so they can arrange a flight?
Ashton: Okay, we're here but don't move.
Sam: I am completely fine inbetween contractions so I can walk
Sam: shit

— Sam's POV —

I could feel another contraction coming so I send a quick last text to Ashton before holding onto the chair. There's still enough time inbetween them but because of the C section, we need to be in time.

"Sam" Ashton yelled out when he saw me holding onto the chair and he rushed over, unsure of what to do or how to even help me. We should have taken birth classes too.

I kept an eye on my watch as I pulled myself through it and once it was over I stood up straight and looked at him. "Okay, we're fine to go." I said and he looked at me so confused before picking up our bag and walking outside with me. Calum was worried as hell and quickly opened the door for us. "Ready to become a godfather?"

"Fuck yes" he replied while I got in, Ashton jumped in the car at the other side and he looked so worried.

"Hey, it's okay. 1,5 week early isn't bad at all, it just means less suffering and feeling like a whale for me." I reassured him while I placed my hand on the side of his face. "We finally get to meet our little girl"

"Are you scared?" He asked me while Calum drove us to the hospital.

"Ofcourse I am" I replied with a soft chuckle and my body just felt very weird. But I asked my mom and she said it was normal, bodies aren't used to having to push babies out. "But in a few hours we'll be able to hold her, we'll get to sing for her and talk to her and make her calm again when she cries. We get to see her pretty big eyes and count her little toes and fingers."

"I'm talking about you Sam, not her." He told me and I shrugged.

"I'm not my mother and I will meet my little girl. There's no way I'll go without holding her and kissing her chubby cheecks. I'm stronger than my mom." I told him but I was terrified of that. "And I'm smarter. I know that a C section is safer for me, she didn't."

"Okay." He said while he took his hands in mine. He seemed to believe me.

"Just stop stressing out, you're not the one that has the baby inside of them."

"Why did you call your mom before texting me?"

"Because she's a doctor and knows what to do. Plus it would take you 5 minutes to come home and it will take her atleast 20 hours to get here." I said and he laughed softly. "Oh shit there's another one coming." I said when I started to feel everything getting a little tighter.
