[[all dutch sentences in this chapter will be translated in the comments on that part]]

We were just driving through the city with my aunt's car on our way to a double date with Luke and Sierra, windows rolled down and the radio playing. This city was my third home and I was so glad to be back.

Not many fans know how many summers and holidays I spend here, going to the beach for weekends or just discovering the country. My grandparents would take me all over the country to make sure I had seen it all and I loved it.

I looked at Ashton shortly when he turned down the radio and answered a call. "Hello?" He asked and I could see confusement on his face. "Wait one second because I don't speak dutch." He said before gesturing for me to park on the side of the road and putting his phone on speaker.

"Hallo?" I asked.

"Goeien avond, ik ben Max van QMusic en ik ben momenteel bezig met het opstellen van de favoriete 40 van deze week. En wij laten dan altijd een kort fragment afspelen van een van de luisteraars voor we een liedje spelen." He said and I was so confused at all of this. "Jij had gisteren een liedje aangevraagt en wou ik even horen of je het zou zien zitten om een stukje op te nemen? Zodat we dit ervoor kunnen spelen."

"Zou u dit even in het engels kunnen herhalen? Zodat mijn vriend het kan horen, ik heb namelijk geen idee waarover het gaat." I replied back and Ashton was just clueless as he barely understood a word.

"Geen probleem, so I am Max from QMusic and for the favourite 40 list every week, we ask a few listeners to say something about the song they voted for or requested during the week." He said once again and Ashton was already trying so hard not to laugh but he quickly started to make a recording of the call with my phone, "You requested to play a song yesterday and we wanted to ask if you wanted to record the short piece? It can be in english ofcourse. Do you still know what song it was?"

"Yes, Bruises by Samantha Evans, right?" He asked and now I was trying so hard not to laugh too.

"Exactly, it's been running at number 1 for quiet some time now and we saw a foreign number request the song. That's why we decided to call you up." He said and we were just looking at eachother with grins on our face. "From where are you?"

"I'm from the US." He replied all serious and we decided to just play it along.

"That's awesome, why did you choose this song to request?" Max asked

"It's an amazing song and it is my favourite from her album. This song is so relatable to anyone who ever lost someone and I know it wasn't easy for her to write." Ashton replied and the grin on my face just grew

"That's great, so have you ever seen her live?" He asked and this time Ashton just started laughing.

"Yeah I've seen her live a few times." He replied while still laughing.

"More like every time." I said softly with a chuckle.

"That's really cool! Will you be listening to her interview tomorrow at QMusic?" He asked

"Definitely. I'm her biggest fan."

"Oh I think you'll have to fight a few teenage girls for that title."

"Are you a fan of her?" I asked and it felt so weird to ask this about myself

"I'm in love with her music." He said and I looked at Ashton, trying to figure out how long we would keep this up. "So would it be okay for you if I call you back in a few minutes and we record something short for tomorrow?"
