INT.-NEARLY EMPTY MESS HALL - NIGHT
Screams of fear/pain come from the other side of the building.
ALICE
Man, what on earth do you think is making that noise?
BLISS
I don't know...did you keep the shield up?
ALICE
Yeah, it's coming from inside the other side of the building.
Hesitation.
ALEX
(hesitating)
What should we do?
APOLLO
Bliss, Alex, Blithe, come with me. Ember, you coming?
BLITHE
(to herself)
Great, bring the new one. As long as I'm not babysitting.
Alex kicks Blithe Lightly.
ALEX
(to Blithe only)
Shut up.
EMBER
Umm, okay?
APOLLO
Alice, keep your force-field up. We don't want whoever is here to get out.
Alice nods.
EXT.MAIN HALL.NIGHT
Another scream of terror.
APOLLO
It's coming from over there. Be prepared to use your gifts if needed.
The group stops after another yell. They keep moving towards the exit of the building.
APOLLO
Alice, can you hear anything else?
The blind girl commands everyone to be quiet—after a moment, she flinches along with everyone else.
Another scream.
ALICE
Over there!
Alice runs ahead. Everyone else follows.
APOLLO
(halting)
Oh no! Everyone wait, halt!
(beat)
...Ember, stop!
Alice halts ahead. Everyone stops behind her. Ember continues and sees Hannah in a pile of blood. Screams. EMBER fall to her knees.
EMBER
(worried)
Oh no, no! Hannah! Who did this?
EMBER cradles HANNAH'S head in her lap.
HANNAH
(weak)
He...He got out...
EMBER
I should have come with you. I'm so, so sorry.
HANNAH
(weak)
He...Ran that way...
Hannah points in the direction Creed ran off too. Hannah grabs Embers hand and Stares at the bracelet on her wrist, smiling, Before falling limp. She's dead.
EMBER
(sad)
Nooooooo!
Others finally arrive Apollo approaches Ember taking caution.
BLISS
Alex! Heal her!
ALEXANDER
I-It's to late... I can't heal someone who's already dead...
Alex smacks his head
ALEXANDER
I should of been faster!
APOLLO
(hand on Ember's shoulder)
Ember, it's okay, we will avenge her.
Ember falls into Apollo, sobbing.
BLISS
Hey, look-
Bliss points out the window on the glass doors of the mess hall.
BLISS
Someone's running!
The group rushes outside, seeing Creed running away in a bloody lab coat.
ALEXANDER
It's that brute from A.C.O.R.D.!
ALICE
How'd he get out!?
Ember immediately takes off, pushing past Alexander and Alice, who were standing in front of her. She accidentally knocks the blind girl down.
ALICE
Hey! What the-!
APOLLO
Ember wait!
Apollo tries to stop Ember by grabbing her arm but her skin is extremely hot and burns his hand. She runs towards Creed.
APOLLO
Crap!
(beat)
Alex, can you cure my hand?
ALEX
Yes, sir.
Alex uses his powers to heal Apollo's burned skin.
APOLLO
Take Hannah's body to the hall. I'll try to stop Ember.
Apollo runs in the direction Ember went.
Ember left burns in the shape of footprints when she took off and Apollo begins to follow them.
