Andrew Abbott (OC): Seventh-year Hufflepuff, Head Boy as well as Captain and First Chaser on the Hufflepuff's quidditch team. Light-haired, handsome, athletic, helpful as well as all other sorts of wholesome things, there's no doubt that he's a rising star. Canon dictates that he should exist, as someone would have been Hannah Abbott's grandfather.
Since he's a pureblood, it is rather noticeable to his peers that he's not one to take things for granted as his right. Andrew himself doesn't consider having principles and standing up for them as something extraordinary. It does explain why the students not from traditional pureblood families respect him.
First appearance: Chapter 41 ("Aftermath") in Hogsmeade along with his twin sister and prefect partner. He appears again in Chapter 45 ("Troublesome Tuesdays") to follow what he thought was right even though it's not convenient for him. He plays a larger role in the latter chapters of the second arc along with the other prefects as they try to defuse the tense inter-house relationship.
