Abraxas Malfoy: Fifth-year Slytherin, an important Knight of Walpurgis. His family is part of the Sacred 28 (obviously). Even though his characterisation is purely my invention, he is technically a canon character like the Blacks, as he had been mentioned by name. He would be the father of Lucius Malfoy and grandfather of Draco Malfoy. Like many others in Slytherin, he is caught up in Tom's charisma and power.

Whatever the beginning of his allegiance was, his loyalty is unquestionable now. Abraxas is Tom's right hand the same way that Melchior is his left. Unlike the minions on the lower rungs of the ladder, he still considers Tom as a friend too (however that works). Which is why he is wary and defensive over Hermione's initial closeness to Tom (to his left, Melchior is eye-rolling hard).

First Appearance: Running into the Slytherin common room in Chapter 16 ("Mobilisations and Responses") and then following Tom there. Talking with Melchior Nott as they traverse Hogwarts in Chapter 18 ("Afternoon Entertainments").
