Adrian Smith (OC): A muggleborn Gryffindor first-year with brown hair. There is nothing very striking about his appearance except that he has an intimidating scowl if he chooses to deploy it. Hermione spotted him walking stiffly due to his bruises and healed him, but it was Tom's advice on striking back that resonated with him. He asked Tom to teach him. Tom laughed and warned him that he wasn't nice, but the kid didn't back down. He's certainly Tom's first Gryffindor follower.
Tom had told him to contact Jonah Rosier and say that Tom Riddle sent him. This was how he ended up contentedly befriending a first-year Slytherin, and then a first-year Ravenclaw as Jonah became his connection to Hattie Perks. He listens to Tom's advice religiously, particularly after Tom point-blank told him to retaliate to his bullies but to make it difficult to trace back to him.
First Appearance: Spotted by Hermione in a stairway in Chapter 27 ("O Tempora, O Mores"). Appears again in Jonah's Side Story in Chapter 54 ("Returns to Hogwarts").
