Part 40: Can I Love You

In POV – Flash back

Actually my parent has ever asked me to join in several party with his colleagues. Then, I knew several of their friends. Including several sons or daughters of my parent's friend. They were typical of rich younger, I didn't really match with them.

Then, it became a problem as my dad asked me to join a party as he couldn't join it. My dad and my mom have been staying abroad for several weeks for their business. I said yes, then I joined.

In the middle of party, I called for Sun as I let him alone in rooftop that afternoon. I had to ensure that he has been back to home.

But I rushed myself for going home as I heard that Sun was not really healthy. His voice was changed, he should catch a cold. I asked him to take rest. He told me that I had to be still there, but I couldn't do it. My heart asked me for going home. He told me that he had took medicine, but I still worried about him.

I drove my car in high speed as I need to go home as soon as possible. I intentionally didn't call for him anymore as my call would disturb his sleep.

When I about to enter Bangkok, my mom called for me. She told me that she got a few hours of transit in Airport. She asked me to go to airport as she wanted to meet me. I actually refused her request, but she still insisted to meet me. Then I agreed to her. I drove my car to the airport instead of home.

I suspected that she would be talking about my college study. I hate to talk about that. We have ever talked about that when I entered high school. We just got arguing, without any solution. At that time, they let me to finish my high school. Then, we would talk about that later.

My mom insisted to make me follow her, took Business Management and study abroad. It was not about living abroad, but I didn't want to study about what I had no passion about that.

My mom and dad are totally business woman and man. They are so excellent on it. They thought that I would follow their path. Although I still didn't have any preference, but Business should not be my world.

After I parked my car, I looked for restaurant where I had to meet her. After a moment, I found that she was sitting at the corner of restaurant. She saw me and waved her hands toward me. She smiled widely.

Actually, after I escaped to Chiang Mai, it should be the first time for me to meet with my mom. I never receive her calls. Moreover, my mom and dad were super busy lately as they opened several branch of our company. Actually they told me about that, but I never took it into my head as it was nothing for me.

I walked toward her, she hug me tightly. I felt nothing, our relationship became so cold. I couldn't feel any warmth from my own mom.

"Come here", she asked me

I just nodded. Then, I sat in front of her.

A few moment later, waiter came to us for ordering the menu. My mom ordered several foods for us, as usual.

She told me that she and dad were really busy for their business. I just gave her my fake smile. One more time, she told me about the opening of new branches, proudly.

Fortunately, she noticed that I was not really interested on it. I didn't come there to listen about her company progress.

My mom changed the topic. She told me that she would be to the point. I knew what she would be talking about my college study.

She told me that she had arranged tutor to teach me about the language and preparation test before I entered the university. She told me about single step should I take. It was a lot.
