Chapter 56. (Controlled)

Chapter 56.

I woke up to heavy breathing all around me. My whole body ached, and I could feel the dried blood that lined my pained arms. I didn't want to wake up, I wanted to float away, to be free of the pain, the torture and the misery. The life that I'm living does not want me to to live it. And I don't want to live it either, the heavy weight on my shoulders had returned, the ache in my heart was back, the dwelling misery in my head pounding, her voice taunting. And I just wanted it gone, to end.

Even if it forced me to return to the place that I was before, I would take it. I wanted the pain gone, and the only way I could have it that way is if I listened to her. To abide by her rules, agree to what she said, to spiral back into my own ways. To not talk, hide behind myself and listen to the cruel things she had to say.

I knew I had to, the fear of what she did to me just little over 10 hours ago coming back to haunt me, the memories playing behind my eye lids, forcing my eyes open. I shuddered. It was dark; probably because my head was hidden under the pillow. Blocking out the world. It was quiet inside my head, no hissing words or insults, but outside there were hushed voices, and I didn't want to get up until they were gone.

I had to isolate myself from everything to stay safe. I would not only be risking my own life, but they boys also if I didn't do as she said. She's 10 times more powerful now, she lifted me up higher than usual, she kept 4 built boys from barging through the door, her tiny body was nothing compared to her actual strength, and that frightened me.

I closed my eyes again, shifting to get more comfortable, the voices stopped and i stilled, well I guess they know I'm awake now... "Cass?" I heard a soft voice whisper gently. "Shh" she hissed, forcing me to stay quiet. And I didn't object, I stayed still, following her demands. Because that's what I had to do.

"Cass, are you awake ? I think we should talk" I heard Calum whisper and the bed dip down.

"Would you like if the rest of them left, so just me and you can talk?" He asked. I didn't answer so I guess he took that as a yes, because shuffles of people's feet walked out of the room and the door softly shut.

"It's just you and me" I felt his hand touch my side but I ignored it. "Cass please, you know Luke doesn't hate you, and he cares if you hate him, you both were upset he understands" he said, rubbing my back gently. Tears formed in my eyes at the thought of Luke and I fighting.

I didn't mean for the words to slip out, it's not like I meant them. But i couldn't apologize now, I was being controlled, I was once again under her power. I felt him try and lift the pillow off of my head but she forced it to stay. I didn't move an inch, but I could tell she wouldn't let go, because Calum tried to pull harder and harder, it was like it was stuck to my head.

"What the hell" I heard him mutter under his breath before a loud screech filled my ears.

"Ouch what the fūck" he yelled, I heard him jump back, and the pillow flew off of my head, hit the wall and fell limp onto the ground. That's when I saw Calum, he was clutching his hand between his knees, whispering cuss words as his eyes filled with tears. What the hell did she do to him? I tried to get up and help him, to see what was wrong but I was restrained onto the bed. I tried to call his name but my mouth was forced shut, the only thing I could do was watch. Watch his confused face, his pained expression.

A couple seconds later the boys rushed in, obviously by hearing his yell. "What's wrong? What happened Cal" Ashton quickly said, keeping his attention on Calum's hand that was buried between his legs.

"I don't know... I was trying to get the pillow off of her head when... I don't know something just, just hurt my hand and I backed away" he was flustered, as he ran his other hand through his tousled hair.

"Here let me see" Ashton grabbed his hand, bringing it in front of his face before gasping. "C-Calum that's a bite mark"

Everyone's eyes widened, even my own as they all examined it before looking to me. My eyes were wide but dull, "no it couldn't have been Cassy, she was hidden under it" I heard them whisper, it kind of angered me, I mean I was right here, I could still hear them.

"She doesn't have teeth shaped like that anyways" Michael hissed at them.

"Cassy how did this happen" Michael turned to me, I couldn't move, and I couldn't speak so there was no way of me responding. I pretty much agreed to going back to being 'normal', but I didn't expect her to hurt them, that's the only reason I'm letting her do this to me, to avoid the boys getting hurt!

I met Luke's eyes, and for some reason I wanted to cry, I wanted to say sorry, to plead for forgiveness and tell him I didn't mean it but I couldn't.

I wasn't in control anymore, and she was showing exactly that.
