Your internal monologue continued as you stared deeply into the talented young male performing on stage. The crowd was on fire but somehow, you managed to stay cool.
Winwin deserves more.
You felt a pain on your chest when you saw how exhausted he was once the group walked out of the stage. You eyed him for a while and then seconds after, you made your way to their waiting room.
The group's guards looked suspiciously at you but as you showed them your i.d., they left you alone. You're actually one of the organizers for the event WayV attended to. You were too excited about the thought of organizing one event with a performance from your boyfriend's group. Winwin too, was even more hyped up when he found out about it.
Knocking twice, you heaved a deep sigh. When you heard a voice telling you to enter, you pushed the door open and was startled to see a chaos inside the room. The younger ones, specifically Yangyang, Lucas, Hendery and well, Ten, were being really loud while Kun was trying to calm them down. The boys were surprised to see you which made them to stop whatever they were doing and quickly tackle you after a few seconds.
"As expected, you're all really loud." You chuckled after pulling out from Yangyang's bear hug.
"It's too boring when it's quiet." Lucas commented and Ten nodded.
"It's not." You argued back.
"It is!" Lucas exclaimed back.
"It's nㅡ"
"I beg you two to stop before our manager storms in and throw us out." Kun interrupted and everyone laughed at it, even though all of you knew he was being serious about it.
While Lucas decided to annoy Xiaojun instead, you made your way to Winwin. He was sitting on the couch quietly while watching you with a smile.
"You need to get some rest after this." You tell him after slumping yourself down beside him.
"You know it's not possible."
"It is possible, Mr. Dong Sicheng." You raised your brows at him.
"Calm down, Y/n." He chuckled as he silently took your hand and held it in between his. His eyes landed from you to the noisy boys around the corner as you spoke.
"I'm really on the verge of suing your company." You said. "Does the word fair exist on your CEO's dictionary? I bet it doesn't. Can't he just let you promote with 127 and go on tour with them?"
While you continued to rant for him, he just looked at you, a silly smile plastered on his face as he observed your little gestures.
"It's your dream." You rolled your eyes. "And they're overworking you. If they continue being like this, I'm barging in to your company building with a bomb in hand."
Winwin laughed at your statement. He knew you were just joking but he felt satisfied with knowing how protective and how agressive you get when it comes to him. "I'm actually not tired."
"You are!" You exclaimed. "Look at your eyes, your lips are more pale than before and Winwin, you're getting thinner. Have you been eating well? Or does Lucas eat all your food?"
"Why did I hear my name?" Lucas suddenly joined the conversation with a confused look on his face.
"It's nothing Lucas." You said. "I'm just telling Winwin how cool you look on that shirt."
"Really? Thank you, Y/n!" With that, he went back to his conversation with Xiaojun.
"Now going back," you say, "I'm being serious about this, Winwin. Take some rest for a while. You're risking your health for those selfish deeds of your producers."
"I have to work even harder." He said. "Besides, I can always have my energy back anytime. As long as you're here, I'm all good."
"Ah, that's too sweet but seriously, Winwin."
"I'm serious."
"Are you?"
"Of course." He grins. "As long as my y/n, members, family and fans are believing on me, I'm all good."
"But what about rest?"
Winwin pinched your nose. "Silly girl, I already told you, you're all I need to get my strength back."
"Geez lovebirds, at least have some respect for the single human beings over here." Ten cooed causing Winwin to laugh and you to throw one of the plushies at Ten.
As you gaze at the man sitting beside you with his hand clasped on yours and a silly yet precious smile on his face, you realized how much you love him. He's too precious for this world and indeed, Winwin deserves all the love and appreciation around the globe.
