"Mother! Ah this is...um,"
"My name is Arie Ara. I'm from the Arie family"
She bowed down, not daring to make eye contact with my mother. Mother walked closer to Ara and stopped right in-front of her.
"Welcome to our home, Ara."
She got up and looked at mother.
"I hope you treat my daughter well."
She walked away from us.
"Thank you, your majesty."
She stopped in her tracks. Without looking back she replied.
"You can just call me Arlene."
She continued and left me and Ara alone. Ara looked at me in amazement.
"Your mother is really nice! It's just like what everyone says. I wonder if your father is the same."
I looked down wondering if he was. He was nice to me. Very nice. But I didn't know the situation for everyone else.
"Well, father is very nice to me."
She looked at me with wide eyes. I guess father wasn't known for being the nicest.
"Really? That's quite the surprise."
I smile and begin walking, hand in hand. She started a conversation.
"So, what's your father like?"
"Well, he's very nice to me. He's a little overprotective, but I don't mind it too much."
We have a small conversation the whole way.
"Hey, where are you taking me?"
I grin and replied with an answer she didn't quite expect nor want.
"You'll see."
