"Alex, what happened?" Will asked. "He said he was building something. That at first it was for El and now that it was all for me." Alex said. El hugged her again. "Building something... Is he talking about the flayed?" Max asked. "He must be." Nancy said. So he's building an army, like we thought." Lucas said. "Yeah, but he's not building this army to spread." Mike said. "He was building it to stop Eleven." Will said. "But now," Mike said. "He's building it to stop Alex." Eleven said still hugging Alex. "at first he was building it to stop El because last year, El closed the gate on him and it really pissed him off." Mike said. "Like royally." Lucas said. "And the mind flayer knew she was the only thing that could stop him." Mike said. "Then, Alex came and fought him on the day at Dustin's." Max said. "And he saw she was more powerful than El." Lucas said. "And if she's out of the way." Mike said. "Game over." Lucas said. "He also said he was gonna kill all of you." Alex said hugging El tightly. "Yeah, well, that's nice." Max said. Nancy started walking to the window. "Do you guys hear that?" Nancy said. Alex and El stopped hugging and everyone went quiet. "It's just the fireworks." Jonathan said. "Billy. When he told you this, it was here, in this room?" Nancy asked. Alex nodded. They started hearing loud thuds. "He knows we're here." Will said. Everyone ran outside to see. Alex heard trees rustling and they saw the mind flayer. Mike grabbed Alex's hand and started running back to the cabin. They all followed them back to the cabin. "Sit here okay?" Mike said. Alex nodded and sat on the couch. Everyone was blocking any entrance. Nancy got a gun. Alex got up and El went to her. "It's going to be okay." El said. Alex nodded and everything in the room started falling and the lights started flickering. Then it stopped. "Where'd it go?" Max said. Everyone started looking around. All of a sudden it broke the wall and its arm reached for Alex. Jonathan got an axe and hit the mind flayer's arm. It hit jonathan and he hit the wall. It reached for him and Nancy started shooting the arm. It turn to her and she was out of bullets. It was about to get her went Alex stopped it. She pulled it away from Nancy and broke the hand off. It went out of the cabin. Alex fell to the floor. "Holy shit." Max said. Then it can back. It went for Alex but was stopped by Eleven. Another arm can on reached for Alex and Eleven stopped that one too. She pulled the hands from them. Alex got up. Alex heard the monster behind them. It broke the roof and came for El. "No!" Alex yelled. Alex pushed Eleven out of the way and the mind flayer grabbed Alex's leg. It was pulling her but Mike grabbed her arms. "Alex!" Mike yelled. Alex was screaming. Jonathan ran and helped Mike. Max helped El up and they both ran to Alex. Will ran to help Alex too. Nancy was putting bullets in the gun. Alex screaming louder. "Nancy, shoot it!" Jonathan yelled. Nancy started shooting. "Lucas, come on!" Max yelled. Lucas looked around and saw the axe. He grabbed it and went on a table and started hitting the arm while Nancy shoots it. Lucas cut the arm and Alex fell on Mike. "Alex! Alex, are you okay?" Mike asked. Mike looked at her leg. It still had part of the mind flayer. Mike pulled it off and Alex screaming in pain. Alex looked at the mind flayer. It roared and it was hurting Alex's ears. Alex got up and but both her hands up and yelled. Alex pulled it's head apart and fell back. Max and El catched her. "Go, go, go!" Nancy said. "Come on, come on, go!" Jonathan said. Alex couldn't walk. "Mike help me." El said. Mike and El helped Alex out the door and everyone ran to the car. They got in and started driving. They stopped at a shop. Nancy broke the window with a rock and everyone walked in. Nancy grabbed aid supplies off the wall. "Okay, get her down." Nancy said. Mike and El sat Alex on the floor. "Okay, let me see." Nancy said. Nancy pulling up Alex's pants and saw it bleeding. Alex groaned. Mike and El both grabbed on of Alex's hands. "Oh shit." Max said. Nancy opened the bandage and was gonna put it on Alex's leg when Max stopped her. "What- what- Hey, what are you doing?" Max asked. "I'm cleaning the wound." Nancy said. "No, first, we need to stop the bleeding, then clean, then disinfect, then bandage. I skateboard. Trust me. Mike, hold this." Max said. Mike did what Max said. "Keep the pressure on it, nice and firm, okay?" Max said. Mike nodded. "We're gonna need water, soap." Max said. "Nancy and Jonathan got up to get the water and soap. Lucas dumped out every thing from his backpack. "Does any of this help?" Lucas asked. "No, go get me a washcloth and a bowl." Max said. "A bowl?" Lucas asked. "Lucas." Max said seriously. Will slapped Lucas's arm. "Go." Will said. "Okay." Lucas said. Max heard Lucas and Will talking about fireworks. Max rolled her eyes. "You two stay with her." Max said and left. "I'm going to see what's taking Max so long." El said. Alex and Mike nodded. "Does that hurt?" Mike asked. "It's not bad." Alex said. "You're gonna have an awesome scar. You'll look even more badass." Mike said. Alex smiled. "I don't know why you guys are going to bandage it." Alex said. "What?" Mike asked. "I can heal it." Alex said. "No, it that thing comes back your gonna need energy so it's best if you avoid using your powers unless you really need to." Mike said. Alex nodded. It was silent for a while. "Alex." Mike said. "Yeah?" Alex asked. "I've been meaning to tell you something. It's just you're like really cool and I can't imagine what my life would be like right now it you weren't in it." Mike said. The walkie was making distorted noises. Mike and Alex looked at it. "Point is I'm sorry, for everything. I just, it's like I've never felt the way I feel, It's like nobody not even El can make me feel and, you know, they do say it makes you crazy." Mike said. "What makes you crazy?" Alex said. "You never- you never heard that term, you know, like the phrase, like "blank makes you crazy," like the word." Mike said. Alex thought for a second. "Girlfriends?" Alex asked. Alex said. Mike looked confused. Alex looked at the walkie. "Dustin." Alex said with wide eyes. Mike got up and went to the walkie. "Dustin?" Mike asked. They heard Dustin. "Dustin! "Get Eleven." Mike said. Max and Mike finished bandaging Alex's leg. "El can you try finding Dustin?" Mike asked. El nodded. Alex was sitting in the aisle. All of a sudden they all came. "We found him." Mike said. Alex nodded and Mike and Max helped Alex up and they got in the car. They drove to starcourt. *Steve* "alright, my turn." Robin said. "Okay. hit me." Steve said. "How much do you care about Alex?" Robin said. "A lot. You know, she's not really my sister but since the first day I met her I felt like, I don't know she makes me like better? If that makes sense and I just feel like you know this summer I feel like I have cared more about her than anyone else in a really long time and honestly she's unlike anyone i've ever met before. I just feel like I need to protect her, you know?" Steve said. "Totally." Robin said. Steve slide under the stall. "The floor's disgusting." Robin said. "Yeah, well I've already got puke and blood all over my shirt so." Steve said. "She sounds awesome." Robin said. "She is awesome." Steve said. "Thing is I don't know where she is and-" Steve said. Dustin bursted into the bathroom. "Okay, what the hell?" Dustin said. Steve and Robin started laughing. They walked out the bathroom trying to blend in and they saw a russian. "Abort. Abort!" Dustin said. "Okay." Robin said. They went on the escalator. *Alex* Everyone was leaving the mall. "Do you see them?" Mike asked. "No." Everyone but Alex said. Alex closed her eyes. "They're still in there." Alex said. "What?" Mike asked. "They're hiding." Alex said. They all went inside. "Where are they?" El asked. "Follow me." Alex said. They all nodded. Alex heard footsteps. She saw men walking with guns. She put her hand out and made the car below her make noises. The men with the guns turned to the car. They looked up and saw Alex. Alex threw the car at them killing them. She saw Robin, Steve, Dustin and Erica come out of the counter. They saw the car and looked up at Alex. everyone else came to see what happened. Dustin looked at Alex and smiled. Alex smiled back. Alex and the others went down the escalator. Dustin, Steve, Robin went running to them. Mike was helping Alex. Dustin laughed. "You flung that thing like a hot wheel!" Dustin said. He ran up and hugged Alex and Mike. Alex pulled away from the hug and looked at Steve. Steve went and hugged her. "Thank god you're okay." Steve said. "Well kinda." Mike said. Steve looked confused then looked down at Alex's leg. "What the fuck?" Steve said. "I don't understand what happened to that car." Robin said. "Alex and El have superpowers." Dustin said. "I'm sorry?" Robin asked. "Superpowers. She threw it with her mind. What the fuck happened to your leg." Steve asked. "I'm sorry, who are you?" Nancy asked. "I'm Robin I work with Steve." Robin said. "She cracked the top secret code." Dustin said. "Yeah which is how we found out about the Russians. What happened to your leg?" Steve asked. "Long story." Mike said. Everyone kept talking. Alex walked away covering her ears. El followed her. "Alex, are you okay?" El asked. "Alex?" El asked. All of a sudden Alex fell. "Alex!" El ran to her side. Mike and Steve ran to Alex. "What happened!?!" Steve asked. "Alex, Alex, hey, what's wrong?" Mike asked. "My leg. My leg." Alex said. "Her leg, her leg. Okay." Jonathan said. They took off the bandage. They saw something it her leg and it started moving. Alex started grunting. "Alex! Alex! Alex! Alex, are you okay? Alex! Alex! Alex!" Mike said. Alex started screaming.
