1996 Part 2

"Alex?" Jason asked. "Alex, who is he?" Mike asked. "Oh she didn't tell you?" The boy asked. "Tell me what?" Mike asked. "Go ahead Alex." The boy said. *Flashback* Alex was in her room in the lab. She heard something coming from the hall. She got up and opened her door. She went out into the hallway and left her door open. All of a sudden someone covered her mouth and took her back into her room. They let go and the person who took her was the boy. "Shit. Noah. what the hell?" Alex asked. "Aw come on Alex. what are you gonna do?" Noah asked. "It's bad enough that I can't tell anyone but its worst that they're letting all of you out but me." Alex said. "Exactly. This might be the last night I have with you." Noah said. "I won't get out so maybe you should forget about me and move on when you get out." Alex said. "I will. After I do this." Noah said. He kissed Alex. *end of flashback* "Alex?" Mike asked. "We were together when we were at the lab." Alex said. "What?" Mike asked. "Why didn't I know this?!" Jason asked. "Or me?" El asked. "Maybe because she loved me more than you." Noah said. "Shut up!" Mike said. "What I don't get is why when you got out you didn't look for me. And instead you went with him." Noah said pointing at Mike. "Jason take Mike and El and get Hopper. Then go home." Alex said. "I'm not leaving." Mike said. "Go." Alex said. Jason grabbed Mike and El and teleported out of the base. "So what now?" Alex asked. "Well now I kill you." Noah said. "You know I have more powers than you right?" Alex said. "Oh right but after I kill your boyfriend you'll be dead inside." Noah said. Alex slammed him to the wall. "I'll kill you before you get the chance." Alex said. All of a sudden Noah threw Alex to the wall and broke a piece off of a chair. He went up to her and was about to stab her when he stopped. Alex was confused then she looked down and saw him bleeding. He fell to the floor. Alex looked up and saw Mike. "Mike." Alex said. "Let's go. Jason's back in Hawkins with El and Hopper." Mike said. He walked out the base. Alex ran after him. "Mike. Mike!" Alex said. Mike stopped. "Lets just go home." Mike said. Alex sighed and held his hand. She teleported to hawkins in front of Mike's house. Mike walked into the house. Alex went after him. His parents weren't home yet. Mike went up stairs to his room. "Mike." Alex said. "What?" Mike asked. "Talk to me." Alex said. "What do you want me to say Alex?! I-I mean how could you not tell me!?" Mike asked. Mike's door opened and his mom walked in. "Michael Wheeler! Downstairs. Now!" Mrs. Wheeler said. Mike sighed then looked at Alex. He went out the door with his mom. Alex picked up Mike's phone and called Hopper. "Alex? Are you alright?" Hopper asked. "I'm fine. Can you pick me up from Mike's I um I'm drained and I dont feel like using my powers." Alex said. "Yeah of course I'm on my way." Hopper said. "Ok, thank you." Alex said. Alex waited until she heard a honk. She went downstairs. "Alex where are you going?" Mike asked. "Home." Alex said. Mike grabbed her hand. "If this is about what happened-" Mike started. "No I just- I have to go." Alex said. "Alex!" Mike said. He wanted to go after Alex. "Michael sit down. You're not going anywhere until your done explaining." Mrs. Wheeler said. Mike sighed. Alex ran to Hopper's car and he drove. "You want to talk about it?" Hopper asked. "Nothing I told you I'm just drained." Alex said. "So nothing's wrong with you and Mike?" Hopper asked. "He found out I had a boyfriend when I was at the lab and took it the wrong way I guess. I'm sure we'll be fine." Alex said. "Why'd you ask me to pick you up instead of staying?" Hopper asked. "I just don't want to see him right now. Plus he needs time to calm down." Alex said. After that it was quiet. They got home and Alex went to her room. Jason was there. "What are you doing here?" Alex asked. "We're roommates. When you sold me out Hopper told me we are sharing a room. That way if I try to sneak out to go to El's room you can tell Hopper. And he'll kick my ass." Jason said. Alex laughed softly. All of a sudden Alex started crying. Jason got up and hugged her. "Hey, what's wrong?" Jason asked. "I just I don't know what to do. Mike is mad at me and-" Alex started. "Hey, he can't dump you for something that happened a long time ago. Besides he loves you. I'm sure this will go away tomorrow." Jason said. Alex nodded. "I'm gonna go eat. Do you want me to bring you anything?" Jason asked. Alex thought for a second then nodded. Jason left the room and Alex laid on her bed. She heard something hit her window and she went to see what it was. It was Mike. Alex went to her door and locked it. She opened her window and waited. Mike came in. "Alex, I'm so fucking sorry. I was being a dick. That guy was someone you knew and it shouldn't bother me but it does or it did." Mike said. "Mike-" Alex started. "Look, it bothers me because... I can't imagine you being with someone else. I love you Alex." Mike said. Alex smiled and put her hand on Mike's cheek. "I love you too Mike." Alex said. Mike was gonna say something but then he stopped. "What is it?" Alex asked. "I um would you ever... I don't know want to marry me?" Mike asked. Alex looked confused. "What is marry?" Alex asked. Mike smiled. "It's when two people love each other a lot that they want to spend the rest of their lives together so they have this party kind of and they give each other rings and stuff." Mike said. Alex smiled. "Yes." Alex said. "What?" Mike asked. "Yes. if you ask-" Alex started. Mike wrapped his arms around Alex's waist. "Not if, when." Mike said. Alex wrapped her arms around his neck. "When you ask me I'll... think about it." Alex said. "Oh your such a bitch." Mike said laughed. Alex smiled. Mike picked her up and spun her around. "Come on don't be mean. I need an answer." Mike said. "I did. I said I'll think about it." Alex said. "I mean a real answer. Yes or no?" Mike said. "Mike, of course I'd say yes. If it meant I'd get to spend the rest of my life with you I'd say yes." Alex said. Mike smiled. "But then again I might change my mind." Alex said. "Oh fuck you." Mike said. "You know I love you." Alex said. "Mmm I love you." Mike said. Alex kissed him. They laid down on her bed still kissing. "Mmm. w-wait a second. Wait a second. How come you've never had a birthday or tell me when it is?" Mike said. "I don't know when my birthday is. At the lab they never cared. So I forgot the day I was born." Alex said. Mike sighed. Alex sat down on the bed. Mike laid his head on her lap and she played with his hair. Mike closed his eyes. Alex kissed him. "I hate to ruin the moment but I have to go." Mike said. Alex frowned. "Why?" Alex asked. "My parents have me on house arrest for now. I have to tell the where I'm going call when I get there and call when I leave." Mike said. "I'll see you tomorrow?" Alex asked. Mike nodded and kissed her. He got up and left. Alex sighed. She went to her closet. She got out a box. It was filled with letters and pictures. She took out a calendar. She turned to January. The 6th day had writing. It said Birthday. *Flashback* "Alex I don't get why you want me to sneak out with you on your birthday when we can run away from the lab." Adrian said. "I can't leave Jason. Plus I'm not leaving until I can control my powers. Yes the lab is torture but they help me control my powers." Alex said. "Fine." Adrian said. Adrian bumped a lady's shoulder. "I'm sorry." Adrian said. "Don't fucking touch her." A man said. "Hey! Don't talk to him like that." Alex said. "Alex it's fine. Lets just go." Adrian said. "I don't listen to a little girl." the man said. "You don't know what I'm capable of." Alex said. "What is that? Playing with dolls?" the man said. Alex looked at the lady he was with. Alex snapped her neck killing her. "Alex!" Adrian said. The man ran to her. He was crying. "Let's go." Alex said. Adrian and Alex walked away back to hawkins lab. "What the fuck, Alex!? You killed that women." Adrian said. "She was gonna die someday." Alex said. "You don't care that you killed her?" Adrian asked. Alex shook her head. "The guy was a dick and he needed to be thought a lesson. So I thought him it." Alex said. "My aunt... she was killed." Mike said. "What happened?" Alex asked. "Her and my uncle were taking a walk. Then they bumped into someone and that person snapped my aunt's neck in front of my uncle. Later my uncle killed himself and it was just awful." Mike said. "Mike." Alex said. Her eyes were watery. "It's fine. Hey, don't cry. It happened when I was young I guess so I didn't really know her." Mike said. "I should go. Steve's gonna kill me." Alex said. "Yeah, um I'll see you tomorrow?" Mike asked. Alex nodded and left. She went home and started crying. *End of flashback* Alex put the calendar back. Jason came in. "so... Mike was here?" Jason asked. Alex nodded. "Is everything alright now?" Jason asked. "Yeah." Alex said. "Good. so here's your food." Jason said. "Thank you." Alex said. "Alex why didn't you tell Mike your birthday is in a week?" Jason asked. "Because my birthday is the day I killed Mike's aunt." Alex said. "What? Alex you have you tell him now." Jason said. "I can't. He talked about getting married and if I tell him he'll hate me." Alex said. "You have to." Jason said. Alex thought about it. *the next day* Alex went to Mike's house. "Hey Alex." Mike said. "Hi." Alex said. They went to Mike's room. Mike closed the door. He tried to kiss Alex but she stopped him. "What's wrong?" Mike asked. "You're not going to want to kiss me after I tell you about something I did. You'll hate me after it." Alex said. "Alex I could never hate you. But what did you do?" Mike asked. Alex started to cry. "I-I killed you aunt." Alex said. "What? Alex, what are you talking about?" Mike asked. "I killed her on my birthday." Alex said. "Alex. please tell me your lying." Mike said. Alex shook her head and started sobbing. "I killed her Mike I killed your aunt and.... I killed her." Alex said. "A-Alex it's okay." Mike said. "No no it's not okay." Alex said. Mike tried to hug Alex. "No! No! Don't touch me! You can't touch a monster." Alex said. "You're not a monster." Mike said. "I killed your fucking aunt!" Alex yelled. "Look at me." Mike said. Alex shook her head and cried more. "Alex look at me!" Mike yelled. Alex looked at Mike. "that was a long time ago. I don't want to judge you for something you did in the past. Not after yesterday." Mike said. "No. No! Mike yell at me! Scream at me to get out! Tell me you hate me!" Alex yelled. "No." Mike said. "Be mad at me Mike!" Alex yelled. She started hitting Mike's chest. "Hate me! I don't deserve to fucking be with you! Kill me!" Alex said. She kept hitting his chest. "Fight back please!" Alex said. "Do something to show me how pissed off you are!" Alex said. Mike's back hit the wall. He wasn't doing anything. "Break up with me! Break my heart Mike I can't just get away with killing your fucking aunt!" Alex said. Mike grabbed her hands. "Fine. You want me to do something? Fine." Mike said. Mike Made Alex's back hit the wall then he kissed her. Alex tried to push him off but she didn't want to. She gave into the kiss and kissed back. "I don't fucking care about a mistake you made. And I'm not going to throw away years of our relationship because of it. I love you and I forgive you. I meant it when I said I want to marry you. Spend the rest of my life with you. Nothing you do will ever change that." Mike said. Alex looked down. Mike wiped her tears. "I'm sorry. For hitting you. For hurting you." Alex said. Mike kissed her forehead. "I love you Alex Wise and soon I'll make you my wife and I'll get us out of this shtty town." Mike said. Alex smiled. "How long do I have to wait?" Alex asked. "Not long. I promise." Mike said. Alex kissed Mike. "now can we just lay down and watch a movie?" Mike asked. Alex nodded.
