"Mike, you have to." Alex said. "I won't!" Mike said. "I'm sorry." Alex said. "Okay so you just focus and then do it." Alex said. "Are we going to die?" Georgie asked. "I won't let that happen." Alex said. "Bill, that's not your brother!" Dustin said. "It's an army Alex and it's for you." Pennywise said moving her hair behind her ear. "Don't touch me!" Alex said. "Richie, I-" Alex started. "It's fine Alex." Richie said. There was screaming. "Get Stan we need to leave now." Alex said. "This is are you sure?" Adrian said. "Yes but Mike can't know." Alex said. "Alex! Alex please! Don't!" Everyone yelled. "It's over." Alex said. Alex screamed. "No." El and Mike said. A tear fell from El's cheek and Mike started crying. "She had to." Adrian said. "Bullshit!" Mike yelled. "He can't know your here." Steve said. "No one can." Steve said. Alex was on the floor crying. She screamed. "You think that was okay!?" Mike asked. "I'm sorry, but I had to." Steve said. Alex woke up breathing heavily. "You alright?" Richie asked coming out of the bathroom. Alex nodded. They went to the diner to get some food and saw Syd and Dina and decided to sit behind them. "Fucked Stanley Barber!?" Dina said. Richie was drinking water and spat it out and almost choked. Alex's eyes widened. Richie stood up about to say something then Alex sat him back down. "Stanley got laid!?" Richie asked in a whisper. "What?" Alex asked. "Bill is not going to be happy about this." Richie said taking another sip of water. "So, how was it?" Dina asked. "I bet he sucked at it." Richie said. "Sucked at what?" Alex asked. "It was... great." Syd said. "Really?!" Richie and Dina said only Richie whispered. "She has to be lying." Richie said. "Why? Cuz even Eddie's mom says you suck at it." Alex said. "Woah okay hold up. You don't even know what "it" is. You.... your a bitch you know that." Richie said. Alex faked a smile at him. "So you wanna hook up again?" Dina said. "One hundred percent." Syd said. "There is no way." Richie said. "Could you shut up?" Alex asked. "No I can't." Richie said. Alex sighed then put her head on the window. "We were supposed to go to Ricky Berry's party tonight. But I don't think he's up for it." Dina said. "Ricky Berry?" Alex asked. "What? You mean his party?" Richie asked. "I- yes." Alex said. "What about it?" Richie asked. "First of all how do you know about it?" Alex asked. "Some kid told me about it." Richie said. "Okay." Alex said. "Now what about it?" Richie asked. "They're talking about it." Alex said. Alex put her head on the window and started listening again. "Fuck it, why don't we just go together, you and me?" Syd asked. "Ye- okay." Dina said.  "Yeah, let's do it." Syd said. "Okay, Syd!" Dina said. She laughs. "They're going to that party." Alex said. "Then so are we." Richie said. "What?" Alex asked. "Look I got invited cuz I'm new, she's going so we're going." Richie said. "But I never-" Alex started. "Been to one?" Richie asked. Alex nodded. "Relax it's not a big deal." Richie said. Dina and Syd got up. Alex listened. "Hey, girls. Good breakfast?" Syd's mom asked. "Yes. Thanks so much, Mrs. Miller." Dina said. Dina was about to pay. "Don't worry, hon. It's on me." Mrs. Miller said. "Thank you." Dina said. "How come you always make me pay?" Syd asked. "Because Dina is nicer to me than you are, and I like her better than you." Mrs. Miller said. Dina laughs. "Okay, see you later." Dina said. "That was rude." Richie said. Alex nodded. "Okay, so, here's the deal. Karen's dog got diarrhea." Mrs. Miller said. "Ew." Syd said. "So I have to stay a few more hours." Mrs Miller said. "So that means what?" Syd asked. "It means you can stay here and marry some ketchups for me..." Mrs Miller said. "Okay, no sale." Syd said. "...or you can take your brother home... without being an asshole about it." Mrs Miller said. Syd sighed. "Yeah okay I'll take Liam home." Syd said. "Thank you." Mrs Miller said. Syd and Liam left the diner. "Okay come on." Richie said. Alex was eating a burger. "What?" Alex asked. "They're leaving. Let's go." Richie said. "I am eating. We are not leaving until I'm finished." Alex said. Richie rolled his eyes. After Alex was done eating they went to Syd's house and sat at the side. Alex heard ringing and covered her ears. "Shit." Richie said. They heard a crash and screaming. The ringing stopped and they went to the window looking into the living room. They saw Liam holding a dead hedgehog. Syd came up from the basement. "Liam, are you okay? What happened?" Syd asked. "It's banana I think he's..." Liam said. "Did she just kill a hedgehog?" Richie asked. "I don't know what that is but yes." Alex said. Richie looked down at his watch. "Shit. we have to go." Richie said. "What? Why?" Alex asked. "The party remember?" Richie asked. Alex sighed. They left back to the motel. Richie changed first then Alex. "can we go?" Alex asked. Richie nodded. They walked to Ricky Berry's house and arrived almost at the same time as Syd and Dina did. They walked in and sat down on the couch. Alex was wearing a jacket and pulled the sleeves up to cover her hands. "Come on Alex this isn't so bad." Richie said. "I don't even know who these people are." Alex said looking down. Richie sighed. "You miss Mike?" Richie asked. "Not just him, I miss everyone." Alex said. Syd and Dina sat next on the couch. A little bit away from them. "Stan!" Dina and Syd said. Stan went to them and sat down. "So, Stan..." Dina said. Stan chuckled. "Yeah?" Stan asked. "I just feel like you and I have never really talked." Dina said. "I- I guess not." Stan said. "So you and Syd are, like, neighbors. Like, close neighbors, right?" Dina said. "Uh... I mean, we're, like, a- we're, like, a few blocks away from each other. So, I'd say... we're moderately close." Stan said. "Cool." Dina said. "Mm." Stan said. "Sounds pretty close to me." Dina said. "Okay. Just ignore her, okay?" Syd said. It was silent for awhile. "Holy shit! That's Jenny Tuffield." Syd said. "Didn't her mom just send her to rehab?" Stan asked. Richie took a quick peek. "Yeah, but I guess 'cause she's here, it totally worked, and she's all better now?" Dina said. "Yeah, right." Syd said. Jessie's girl started playing in the background. "This song is might be the best song they've played." Richie said. Alex looked up. She saw Dina and Syd dancing. Richie started singing along to the song. "♪ And she's watchin' him with those eyes And she's lovin' him with that body I just know it And he's holdin' her in his arms Late, late at night You know I wish that I had Jessie's girl ♪" Richie sang. Alex looked at him. Alex was getting tired and yawned. "Hey, everyone! Bradley Lewis in the house!" Ricky Berry said. Everyone started cheering. Alex and Richie stood up and Richie leaned on the wall. "Eighteen years and nine months ago today, George Reginald Berry and his sweet wife Carol..." Brad said. "That's not their names." Ricky Berry said. Everyone started laughing. Alex and Richie rolled their eyes. "They were drinkin' a little bit of pinot grig', and they were blastin' some Neil Diamond. And then, nine months later, Richard "Dickwad" Berry was born." Brad said. Everyone laughed and cheered. "And thank God for that because the Berrys' birthday parties are the fucking best!" Brad said. Everyone cheered. "To Ricky, everybody!" Brad said. "To Ricky!" Everyone said. Brad walked up to Dina. they talked then Dina left with Brad. Syd walked outside. Alex took Richie's hand and dragged him outside a few minutes after. They turned invisible and saw Syd playing basketball. Shortly after, Stan came outside. Syd made a hoop and STan Clapped. "Wow. That was impeccable. So... what you- what you doin' out here?" Stan said. "Just mountains of cocaine." Syd said. "Oh. You do realize that the entire cheerleading squad are actually doing lines of cocaine in the upstairs bathroom?" Stan said. "Oh, my God. Is- is that why they have so much energy?" Syd asked. "Oh, totally. Totally, yeah." Stan said. It was silent for a while. "Okay, so I have-- I have a question for you, and there's, like, absolutely no pressure or anything." Stan said. "Okay." Syd said. "Okay. Um...Would you... ever, you know, would you ever wanna go to homecoming?" Stan asked. "Uh... M-Maybe. I guess I'll see how I feel on the day." Syd said. "Oh. Um, no, I mean... If- Okay. If you don't have plans yet, and if you don't totally hate the idea, would you wanna go with me? I mean, yes. Homecoming is an outdated tradition. Deeply problematic... But still... If you..." Stan said. "Okay, sure. Why not?" Syd said. "Great! Great, uh... So..." Stan said. "So, I'm gonna go find Dina." Syd said. "Yeah." Stan said. "Uh, talk... See you later." Syd said. Alex and Richie followed her in the house. Alex stopped being invisible. They saw Syd go into a room so they decided to wait. They didn't have to wait long. Syd came out of the room looking like she was about to throw up. She left the party and Richie and Alex followed her. It was raining. A car almost ran Syd over but Syd kept walking. She walked until she was in the middle of the woods. Alex and Richie followed around the car and into the woods where they could see Syd. Alex heard the ringing and covered her ears. "Fuck!" Syd screamed. There was this strong force that made the trees move away from Syd. Alex put up a forcefield around her and Richie. The force stopped. And so did the ringing. Alex put down the force field. Richie and Alex looked at each other.
