Break up

Alex got up and called Mike. *Mike* Mike was pacing back and forth in his basement. The phone started ringing. Mike put his hands through his hair and picked up the phone. "Hey." Mike said. "Hey, are we still gonna hang out today?" Alex asked. "Y-no no sorry just s-something came up." Mike said. "What came up?" Alex asked. "My um my mom she..." Mike started. He closed his eyes and put his head against the wall. "She fell in the shower." Mike said. "Oh my god is she okay?" Alex asked. "Y-yeah. Just in the hospital so um I can't hang out today." Mike said. "O-okay um I'll just hang out with Max then. Tell your mom I said I hope she's okay." Alex said. "Yeah. okay. Bye." Mike said. "B-" Alex started. Mike hung up. "Ugh shit." Mike whispered. Mike picked up the phone and called Lucas. *Alex* Alex was silent. She called Max. "Hey." Max said. "Can I hang out with you today. Mike said his mom fell in the shower and is at the hospital." Alex said. *Max* Max looked out the window and saw Mike's mom driving past. "Hospital huh?" Max said. "Yeah." Alex said. "Call El and get to my house." Max said. "Okay." Alex said. She hung up. "Oh Mike, Mike, Mike, you stupid idiot. I feel like I'm reliving my life all over again." Max said to herself. *Alex* Alex went to El's cabin and picked her up to teleport to Max's house. They went in Max's house. "Mike's lying to you just like he did with El." Max said. "What?" El and Alex asked. "I saw his mom drive by." Max said. "What!?" El and Alex asked. "Who does he think he is?" El asked. "A liar apparently. I mean first El now you? I mean I think we should do what we did with El." Max said. "I'll do it." Alex said. "Ok so just ignore his calls until he explains." Max said. "And if he doesn't..." El said. "Dump his ass." Alex said. "Exactly." Max said. "Do you guys want to watch a movie?" El asked. They nodded. Alex teleported inside the new mall, sawgrass hills. It was a bigger mall than Starcourt. They hadn't had the chance to check it out. "This place is awesome!" Alex said. El laughed. "What are we waiting for?" Max asked. They smiled and ran to get movie tickets. They watched back to the future 3. They left the theater and went to a clothing store. *Mike* "Mike, Really? You lying in the first place is what got you and El split and now your lying to Alex?" Dustin said. "Look I don't like it but Adrian said to." Mike said. "You're in deep shit if she's hanging out with Max." Lucas said. "Is it just me or am I getting deja vu?" Will asked. "You're gonna be single by the end of the day." Eddie said. "Lets just try and find her something." Mike said. "Cuz that worked out so well last time." Dustin said. "Let's just do it you guys. Mike needs us." Lucas said. *Alex* Alex, El and Max were looking in the mirror and laughing trying on clothes. Alex tried on a cropped yellow spaghetti strap and mom jeans. "You should get it. It's cute and simple." Max said. "I don't know I've never worn this kind of stuff." Alex said. "It doesn't hurt to try something new." El said. Max handed her a black jacket. "It looks good on you." Max said. Alex smiled. They bought it and Alex kept it on. Max bought a red long sleeve and El bought a white shorts jumpsuit with a yellow belt. They went to get ice cream. They walked outside smiling. "Are you kidding me? Ugh again?" Mike asked. El turned her head and tapped Max. Max looked. "You have got to be shitting me." Max said. Alex looked and saw Mike. They walked up to them. "Called it." Eddie said. Will, Dustin, Lucas and Mike turned around and saw Max, Alex and El. "I thought you said your mom was at the hospital." El said. She crossed her arms. Mike didn't say anything. "Did you lose your words or something?" Max asked. "I-no I-I'm sorry." Mike said. "Sorry doesn't cut it." Max said. Alex looked down. Mike looked at her. "Do you like her new look?" Max asked. "Max." Lucas said. Max gave him a look. "You know lying is wrong." El said. "Alex, I'm sorry." Mike said. "Why did you do it?" Alex asked. Mike didn't answer. Alex shook her head. She looked at Mike. "I dump your ass." Alex said. Alex walked away and Max and El followed her. "Alex!" Mike said. He tried to go after her but Lucas stopped him. Alex hugged Max with tears in her eyes. El hugged her too. "Let's go back to my place." Max said. Alex nodded and so did El. Alex teleported them to Max's. They went in her room. Alex laid down in Max's bed. El and Max sat on opposite sides of her. El rubbed Alex's back and Max played with her hair. *Mike* "I fucked up! I fucking! Ugh! I just got her back and now she dumped me!" Mike said. "Mike, I know how it feels when you break up, okay? You can talk to me." Lucas said. "I shouldn't of lied. I never should of done that. Why am I such an idiot!?" Mike said. "Mike, it's obvious you and Alex are meant to be together and she was crushed when she walked away. You just gotta ride it, alright? And don't beat yourself up over this. If you want her back then show it and don't hide it." Lucas said. "I already lost her once I don't want to lose her again." Mike said. "Trust me I know the feeling. It's obvious your head over heels for her." Lucas said. Mike put his hands through his hair. He flopped on the couch. "I have to get her back Lucas." Mike said. Lucas nodded. *Alex* "Hey, don't worry I'm sure Mike is going to try and fix things and you two will get back together." Max said. Alex nodded. *Mike* Mike screamed in annoyance. "Mike chill." Lucas said. "I love her Lucas I can't chill. I should of listened to Dustin and just never lied." Mike said. The phone rang and Mike jumped up and ran to it. "Hello?!" Mike asked hoping it was Alex. Mike sighed. "Hey, grandma." Mike said. Lucas sighed. "Yeah I'll tell her. Okay bye." Mike said. Mike hung up and flopped back to the couch. After awhile Lucas said he'd stay over and sleep in the basement. Mike went to his room. He couldn't sleep he went to the phone in the kitchen and called Alex. no answer so he called her house phone. "Hello?" Adrian asked. "Is Alex there?" Mike asked. "I thought I told you to stay away from her." Adrian said. His voice changed. Mike's eyes widened. "She broke up with me, okay? I need to fix things. Is she there or not?" Mike asked. "No. now don't call again." Adrian said. He hung up. Mike ran downstairs to Lucas. "I think the mind flayer is back and in Adrian." Mike said. "What?" Lucas asked. "His voice changed on the phone and I swear it sounded like the mind flayer. Call everyone I'll call Max." Mike said. Lucas nodded. Mike ran upstairs and called Max. "What do you want?" Max asked. "The mind flayer's back and I think its in Adrian." Mike said. "If this one of your lame excuses to-" Max said. "It's not! Hurry up and get to my place now." Mike said. He hung up. *Alex* "Who was it?" Alex asked. "Mike. he said the mind flayer is back and in Adrian." Max said. They grabbed on to Alex and teleported to Mike's basement. Lucas screamed and Alex covered her ears. She bumped into something and it made her fall. Mike quickly caught her. "Thanks." Alex said. She got up and stepped aside. The others arrived. Ben, Billy, Stan, Bev, Mike H and Richie went back to Derry. Eddie stayed to be with Will.  "Why do you think it's in Adrian?" Dustin asked. "Because I told you his voice changed on the phone and it sounded like the mind flayer." Mike said. "Okay but we can't be sure." Will said. "There's one way to find out." Alex said. "We can trap him in a saga like we did with Billy." Max said. "No. I can use my powers. It'll give use a start to see if he's really flayed and if he is then we can end it then and there like I did with El." Alex said. "Isn't that dangerous?" Mike asked. "She can do it." Jason said. "He's right." El said. Alex walked out the basement. Mike followed her. "Alex?" Mike asked. "What?" Alex asked. "Your not going along." Mike said. "Mike I can handle it." Alex said. Alex turned around and walked away. Mike grabbed her hand and turned her around. He pulled her close to him. "Mike." Alex said. "Just cuz you dumped me doesn't mean I don't love you. So whether you like it or not we're going with you. Understand?" Mike said. Alex looked at him. She looked away and nodded. Mike let go and went to get the others. They went to Alex's house. Alex opened the door and saw her dad on the floor unconscious. "Dad!" Alex said. She ran to him. "Glad you could make it." Adrian said. He threw Alex into the wall. The others tried to go to her but Adrian was holding them in place. Alex got up and threw something at Adrian from the fireplace. It cut his arm. He screamed. Adrian's eyes turned red and he looked at Alex. he made a knife go to Alex. it stabbed her in the stomach. Alex screamed. "Alex!" Mike said. ALex tried to get it out but Adrian made her arms stay against the wall. "You know what's funny? You're gonna watch your girlfriend die. Again. Only this time I'll make sure it sticks." Adrian said looking at Mike. knives started floating behind Adrian. All of a sudden Mike broke free from Adrian's powers and he ran to Alex. He took the knife off her stomach and quickly pulled her away from the knives. The knives all hit the wall. Alex was breathing heavily. Mike was covering Alex's cut with his hand while hugging her. "How did you get out?!" Adrian yelled. Adrian got closer to them and Mike stabbed him in the leg. Adrian screamed and fell to the floor. Alex healed herself and her nose started bleeding. "M-mike." Alex said. Mike went back to her. "Hey, sshh. You're going to be okay." Mike said. He picked her up and Jason teleported them to Mike's house.
