Riley's POV

I feel James snake his hands around my waist as we continue to kiss. God, this feels so amazing!

"James Kennedy! To my office. Now!" A voice says behind me.

I break our kiss and see the principal standing there, scowling at James. She grabs his arm and begins stomping away to the office.

"I'll text you later babe!" James calls back to me. I chuckle to myself as I watch the principal drag my boyfriend away.

James's POV

I walk out of the principal's office, quite pleased with myself that I managed to get myself only two lunch time detentions instead of two weeks.

It was the end of last period, and almost everyone was left already. But, I'm not surprised to see Eldon and West waiting outside for me.

"Hey, how'd it go?" West asks.

"Ah, not bad. Two days of lunch detention, but-"

"Not that! I mean how'd it go with Riley I mean!" West cuts in. I smirk.

"Prepare to lose this bet." I say confidently. Their mouths drop.

"She seriously said yes after your stupid way of asking her out?" Eldon asks.

"Hey! It was not stupid!" I say defensively.

"Whatever. Want to head down to the coffee shop?" Eldon asks.

"Yeah, maybe your girlfriend's working." West teases. I roll my eyes and playfully push him.

~~~~~
Riley's POV
I hear the bell on the front door of the coffee shop ring as I clean away a table. I peer up and see James and his friends. I smile to myself as I see him. I watch as he skims the room, until his eyes land on me.
James's POV
"I'll be right back." I tell West and Eldon.
I make my way across the room to Riley.
"Hey." I say, leaning against the table.
"Hi." She says, smiling slightly.
"Hi? That's all I get? Not even a kiss?" I ask, pretending to pout.
"I'm working. My boss will kill me." She says quietly. I continue to pout. She sighs, takes a quick look around before pecking my cheek.
"There. Happy?" She mutters.
"I suppose that will do." I sigh dramatically. She smiles and shakes her head.
"Go on now. I'm busy." She says, hitting me with the towel.
"Hey!" I snap. Her eyes widen.
"I-I'm sorry!" She apologizes frantically. I chuckle.
"I'm kidding Riley." I tell her. She seems to let out a sigh of relief. I give her a side hug.
"I got to go, but I'll see you later." I whisper in her ear.
"Alright, but go!" She giggles. I obey and walk back to my friends.
"Poor little James had to get a little love?" West teases.
"Pssh, no!" I reply defensively.
"You know, for some stupid little bet, and for someone who doesn't even like her, you sure act like you do!" Eldon pipes up.
"Might as well make it believable, right?" I reply.
"Whatever you say." West says in a sing song voice.
"I don't like her okay!" I snap quite loudly, but quickly look around to make sure Riley isn't in earshot.
"I don't like her." I say in a low voice. "At all."
"So, when this bet is over, you're not going to stay with her after?" West asks.
"I don't care if she drops dead after this bet." I reply, sitting back in my seat.
