Waking up
much needed rest got
haven't slept that good
in ages
Walking around town
seems I slept day or two
talk of the show was hot
on everyone's tongues
New guy immune to fire
doubt his heart is
my hair complimented too
Sighing and my temple
I did rub
I looked for Brody
working up courage
Not having to look far
The jail he was
the necklace he did wear
"Hey Brody
when you and I are free
wanna grab a bite?"
Smile present on my face
how could it not
Looking up at me
"Depends what you
call "Free?"
"Not busy with
work that is."
"So you meant
in your free time?"
A frown I did wear
"We both work
if I'm not mistaken
a deputy you are
A stablehand I am."
"You certain you'll
be... available?
You're a free woman
that is what you said
Can't imagine
certain men aren't
lining up to take you
