Aftermath
"Learn and grow
let the past control
you no more
He is no more."
A male voice deep
but far
opening my eyes
darkness surrounded
every corner
"Where am I?"
I wondered curiously
"Destination does not
matter but rather you
do."
The voice sounded closer
and footsteps approached
yet I could not see anything
in front of me
"And that means what exactly?"
Beside me he was
a white blinding aura
surrounding his very being
"Let it go daughter
we're watching you
and we are proud
but it's time to let go
nothing can be changed."
My father's voice as
clear as day
A nod was the only
indication
that I understood
"I'm sorry father
you are right
no good can come
forth if I'm forever
looking behind me."
"Precisely daughter
know we love you
and we're always watching,
lift the weight off your soul
return now
and be happy."
"Ohibbuk ab"
(I love you father)
