Back in the Saddle
I'm right as rain,
So the doctor says;
The babies are a delight,
I'm lovin' these days.
Lorne's back at work,
Aunt Sue's been a blessing;
My crazy, new life,
Is finally coalescing.
But out of this house,
I just have to get!
The babies in the buckboard,
And to town we went.
First stop is the cafe.
AJ's been a dear,
He has two cradles ready,
So I can keep the babies near.

On my plans for the Christmas Gala,
I fill everyone in,
I know we can manage it,
If we all pitch in.
Plenty of muffins,
Decorations galore,
We'll have to make do,
With what we find at the General Store.
The babies are napping,
So, I leave them with Gyn.
And head out to find CG,
At her office, I begin.
I find her working,
On the next Pillar edition.
As always,
She's a woman on a mission.
She scolds me right off,
For leaving the twins behind;
But hugs me anyway.
As always, she looks divine.

We'll have muffins and tea,
Leanna and Lucas,
Are asleep, you see.
We need to talk,
About the gala to be.
I also have a question for you...

We walk back to the cafe,
All the gossip she shares.
There is nothing like,
A best friend who cares.
The twins hugged and kissed,
We settle in a seat.
Muffins and tea are served,
Ready to enjoy our favorite treat.
