Skoodge looked up at the broken house. It looked almost abandoned. He took a deep breath, trying to regain confidence and stepped forward. He knocked on the door, the paint peeled off from the force. The door slowly creaked open, the irken was scared by the lack of security, if the Xoriks came... Skoodge shook off the thought, he had to get anything the Xoriks can use to trace Zim's location and break it ASAP.
Skoodge slipped through into the house. The irken saw junk everywhere, the miscellaneous items piled up like pillars of useless trash. He stepped quietly through the house, scanning the garbage. Then something caught his eye...
Illuminated by the obnoxiously blaring TV was a broken, disfigured SIR unit with a dent in his head. It was lying, mangled on the floor. Skoodge was terrified, did the Xoriks already appear and kill Zim's SIR unit? WAS HE TOO LATE? Skoodge ran up to the SIR and held it gracefully in his arms, after looking at the dent it looked more like someone punched it, someone small... And Xoriks were huge with hooves?
Skoodge's antennae pricked at the noise of someone shuffling around. It came from a room further on. He followed the loud noise to what seemed to be a kitchen. He peered into it then suddenly the totally not suspicious bin flew open and Zim crawled out of it! Thank god she's safe! Perhaps the bin is a bunker of sorts and the Xorik left already!
Zim growled angrily. They ran over to the stove and threw the pot that was sitting lazily on it onto the floor, it shattered immediately into a shmillion pieces.
"THIS IS ALL USELESS!" Zim yelled "ALL MY PLANS TO CONTACT THE TALLESTS ARE ALL FAILURES, OH GOD WHY?" Zim stopped yelling and fell to the floor, Zim held their head in their hands and began... crying?
Skoodge had never seen Zim cry before, in fact he'd never seen Zim express any emotion that wasn't hot rage. Zim collapsed onto their side and it was clear to Skoodge that Zim was indead crying. He couldn't just sit around and watch any longer, he stepped forward into the kitchen......
