Chapter 5 : The Epic Return

Natsu's POV

It's been a year since Y/n left. Well, she did take a hard mission. But according to her strength, she must have already completed the mission and must be training. I can't wait to meet her.

It's been so long. A new member has joined, Lucy Heartfilia. She seems nice but annoying some times. I hang out with her when Y/n is not there. We have had many adventures together. Erza, me, Lucy, Happy and Gray have formed a team "Team Natsu". But still, one important member is missing, Y/n L/n. Lucy always brags about how she has always admired Y/n but has not got the opportunity to meet her.

At Galuna island, I thought that Y/n would come along with Erza but she didn't. I am sure if Y/n was there she would've been so mad that I'm thankful that she wasn't here. All of us have told everything we know about Y/n to Lucy but she seemed to know most of it because of her growing publicity. 

"Y/n is a great friend. She is smart and friendly. She can even give her life for her friends and she hates those who hut her friends. She can also kill me. She is scary at those times, scarier than Erza- OWW...  Erzaaa" I screamed as Erza smacked my head. Lucy seemed to listen to me closely and was confused like me at Erza's action. Erza signaled to look ahead. We had just completed a mission and were on our way back to the guild but when I looked at the guild, it seemed to be in a terrible condition. It was covered with iron bars. I clenched my fists in anger at the sight of our guild. "Wh-Who did this?" I asked. "Phantom Lord" Mirajane answered from behind me. I turned to look at others. Lucy and Happy were shaking as Lucy cupped their hands in their mouth while Happy stared with his mouth agape. Gray and Erza were angry but acted calm. "What about others? Are they safe?" Erza asked to Mirajane. "Yes, everyone is safe. They are in the basement" she said signaling us to follow. 

Gramps ignored all our requests to fight back. He said," As long as all the members are not hurt there will be no war. As the matter of the guild, we can repair it. We will build a new and better one." With those words, he cut off the matter.

Next day 

Levy, Jet, and Droy were hung on a tree. Blood dripping through their body. Gramps came as he made way from the crowd. He was shocked when he announced," It was fine until they surrounded the guild with iron bars but spilling the blood of my children is something I can't tolerate. This means WAR". The whole guild shouted as we too were dying for revenge. We destroyed their whole guild and were winning. Anything that stood in our way was smashed into pieces. Master had gone upstairs to fight their master as we took care of the members. Suddenly, a body came falling from the top floor where Master had gone. We were expecting it to be the master of their but it shocked us that it was OUR MASTER. Their guild started roaring and it was like they were now full of energy and there was no fear as we had lost our master. Then Erza commanded to retreat and we carried Master's body and ran away. I noticed Lucy was missing and I went to find her. I spotted her on the top floor of the Phantom Guild. She was trying to jump from there so I ran and caught her. She opened her eyes and was shocked to be saved and then started crying about how it was all her fault that this all was happening. Her dad had ordered it. She said she would leave the guild and she could save us all but then I stopped her. "No, it's not your fault. You are a member of our guild now means you are family. I can't let you abandon us like that. As a family, we stay together and fight for each other and that is the Fairy tail way" I said as I gave her one of my wide smiles. "Natsu, thank you" she cried. "It's fine," I said as I carried her back to the guild.

"How's master?" I asked. "He'll be fine but he won't be able to use magic," Porlyusica said. I had told the whole guild about Lucy and the reason for this fight. Everyone seemed fine and comforted Lucy. I hoped Y/n was here. She would have handled everything perfectly. Master had said it is about time she returned and on her return, all she would get will be news on how we failed and how Master will never be able to use magic again. I banged my fist on the table getting everyone's attention and I went outside. I saw Phantom Lord's guild heading our way. I rushed inside and informed others. Everyone came to witness the horror. "I will go with hem. I don't want to cause more trouble" Lucy again started to crying. "No, it's not your fault," Gray said, trying to comfort her. Then, the Phantom Lord guild came to a stop right in front of us. 

"Hello, fairy tail wizards. I am Jose, the master of Phantom Lord. Get ready to witness the destruction of your guild by the big cannon you can see. Watch your guild break in pieces. See the true power of Phantom Lord. You are known as the most powerful guild but now no more. Hahaha....." a voice came loud and clear for all of us to hear. As the voice stopped, the cannon glowed a blue light signalling it was going to fire. Just then, we heard "Heaven wheel Armor". It was Erza standing in front of us trying to block the attack. There were gossips on how Erza was powerful but not enough to handle that. Some even prayed for Y/n's return. Then Jose's voice again came as he laughed," Your strongest wizard, Y/n L/n is not going to come. So stop praying. We attacked at the right time but even if she comes it won't matter. We will smash her like anything. Hahaha.... Now, fire the Jupiter". He said as the cannon fired. We all prayed for Erza not knowing what to do. Then, suddenly "Dragon Armor Shied and Freestyle Armor: Re-equip" a voice, that voice, it was Y/n. It couldn't be. Erza was pushed away so she wouldn't get hurt. Erza couldn't fight back cause' she was caught off guard. Now there stood Y/n in her armor almost powerful and similar to dragon scales. "She returned" yells of joy filled our side but looking at Y/n, she didn't seem in a good mood. I could see she was leaving a lot of magic power that was even making me tremble as others felt it, they stayed quiet. I turned to see other's expression. Lucy was staring at shock, a hint of excitement to meet her idol. Looking at her expression, I could read her thoughts, 'So, this is the power of the Zero Wizard Saint, the Dragon Princess and the strongest wizard of Fairy Tail'. Mini flew Erza towards us as she had flew a huge distance after Y/n pushed her. Gray had his eyes widened. "Y/n" I almost whispered in fear. Her bangs covered her eyes, they seemed so dark. She was obviously very mad not only at the Phantom Lord but at us too. "Why didn't you tell me?" She snapped at me, now turning towards me. Her eyes had pain and anger, it scared me. I couldn't speak. I had never seen Y/n like this. "Forget it. What has happened till now. Fill me in. Quick" she said  as she turned away after waiting for me to answer. Erza filled her in quickly. "How dare they?" Y/n whispered but due to all the silence everyone heard it. Then Jose's voice returned,"Ooh.. you returned, huh? But it doesn't matter. Since now you know what we had done to your poor guildmates now face your part. Face the wrath of Jupiter!" he yelled. The cannon again glowed readying an attack as Y/n prepared to face the attack. "Will she be fine?" I asked Mini, now getting my voice back. "She had a tiring day in the train but she is now too powerful so it will be fine but since the time for her coronation (title earning day) is coming. Her powers and emotions are a little unstable. But let's hope for the best. She has the bracelet to control her magic too" she said but still she had a worried expression. I watched as the cannon fired and the light coming at us in full speed. I knew she could handle it and at her increased power she could take it head on. Y/n ran with full speed with her Dragon shield. It seemed to get a little bigger to cover her and had extra magic shield of Y/n's magic. I hope this ends good.
