"Kenna," Jackson was catching up to me "Kenna, stop."
I kept walking.
"For fucks sake, stop walking!" He grabbed my wrist and whirled me around "What's going on?"
He spoke softly to me but I couldn't help flinching at his touch.
"Kenna.."
„Leave me alone."
„Get in the car, Kenna." He sighed.
„No."
„I said-."
„I heard what you said. And I said: No."
„Get in the car, we can talk about it at home."
„No."
„Don't make me do this." His tone was harsh.
„I'm not making you do anything."
„I can't let you walk home alone."
„Who says I'm going home?"
„Well, now I'm definitely not letting you go." A tiny smile appeared on his lips but it was gone in a second.
He sighed and looked around us.
„It's like 5 kilometers too our house."
„I said, I'm not going there."
„Guys, c'mon we need to leave," Liam was walking towards us.
„We're coming."
I turned around and walked away from them.
I heard Jackson mumble something to Liam.
„No, not today. I'm done, being understanding." Liam snapped at him.
I dared a look over my shoulder and saw him coming at me stomping.
„Get away from me," I hissed when he grabbed my arm and dragged me with him.
„You either walk and keep your dignity or I can
throw you over my shoulder
right here and now." He hissed into my ear.
Reluctantly, I walked with him as he kept a tight hold on me.
He pushed me to the car and opened the back door.
A little more gently now, he pushed me inside and followed after me.
Usually it was Jackson, or Tyler who went rough on me it surprised me that Liam had been the one to drag me back.
Something was off today. He had been on edge the whole day.
But that wasn't my problem, obviously.
I crossed my arms in front of my chest as the door to my right was opened and Tyler pushed me to the middle seat to make space for him.
„Why can't you just sit in the front??" I granted as I tried to but my seatbelt on in the narrow space.
„Precautions." He answered, simply.
I scoffed „You think I'm gonna jump out of a moving car?"
„Not gonna risk it."
„Fuckin' morons." I muttered under my breath.

„So are you gonna tell us what's upsetting you?"
„Fuck off."
„You're not leaving this room until you talk."
„Fine. I hate you. Can I go now?"
Jackson grit his teeth.
„Tell me."
„Fuck. Off."
„Phone, now."
„What? No! I'm not giving you my phone are you crazy?"
He jumped up from his seat on the couch and walked over to where I was standing.
My hand went to my back pocket where my Iphone was safely stored.
"If you're not talking, I'm gonna see for myself."
„Fuck off." I told my oldest brother and
grit my teeth.
„For fucks sake just take it," Tyler snapped and pushed Jackson away to corner me.
He grabbed my arms and forced them to the front which made me shriek and drop my phone to the ground.
He bent down to pick it up and handed it to Jackson who looked at my shaking arms and grabbed Tylers arm as he walked past him „Don't do that, ever again."
Tyler looked back to me where I was standing, shaking from the sudden violence.
„I'm sorry." He mumbled.
Liam and Tyler were now standing next to Jackson blocking my way as I stood with my back against the wall, waiting.
Jackson made me unlock the phone.
There wasn't anything on there.
Only my texts to Katie but I didn't think he would go through my texts.
He was about to give it back to me when a notification popped up.
My heart skipped a beat as I stared at him read the message.
He grit his teeth and slapped my phone on Liams chest who grabbed it and red the message out loud.
„Thank you for today, K.H." He growled and stared at me.
"You saw him again, didn't you?" Jackson grunted.
"Wha- What are you talking about?" I turned my eyes away from him. But he grabbed my arm and forced me to look at him.
"Don't lie to me, Kenna!" His grip on my arm tightened.
"I- I didn't!" I lied.
"I know you did! Don't fuckin mess with me."
"Jackson, let go! You're hurting me!"
He losened his grip but didn't let go.
"I'm trying to protect you, goddamnit! You need to stop working against us all the time!"
"Stop! Just stop, okay?! Please!" My hands were on his chest pushing him away from me "Leave me alone." My voice was but a whimper.
He pulled me into his arms as I tried to push him off.
"No," I cried "Leave me alone."
"Shh," he patted my hair and rested his chin on my head "I'm sorry."
I kept slightly hitting him on the chest as a sign of protest but I had given up trying to escape.
Tears were still flooding my eyes as he was rocking me in his arms.
I hadn't been hugged like this in a long time.
I was so desperate for
affection it was pathetic, I thought.
But as my oldest brother embraced me in his arms I realized that I didn't want to leave. I didn't want him to let me go. For the first time in a long time I actually felt like we were siblings, I felt safe.
Safer than anywhere else in this world.
Ironic, isn't it?
The person that scared me, was also the person that made me feel the safest.
„I won't let him hurt you," He whispered into my hair.
He was holding me so tight, like he was scared to lose me.
He was genuinely scared, I realized.
After everything that had just happened,
he was  scared.
