"CHRIS!" I yelled from downstairs as I sat in fetal position on the marble countertop "CHRIS!" I hollered again.

"What? What's going on?" He asked rushing down the stairs.

"There's a spider and I need you to kill it," I said giving him a scared/pouty face. "Please?"

"But I don't like them either!" He protested backing away after seeing it. It wasn't a big spider either, it couldn't have been larger than an inch.

"I don't care!" I nearly screeched as it began moving again, "Man up!"

"Noooooo," He began to whine, "Why do I have to?"

"BECAUSE YOU'RE A MAN!" I responded.

"BUT WE LIVE IN AN EQUAL SOCIETY!" He said back. We then heard fast paw pads on the hardwoods and saw Dodger dart in. He looked up at us with his big smile and tongue hanging out before looking down. He immediatly saw the spider and his ears perked up.

"Get it Dodger, go get it boy!" I told him, cheering him on. He began hopping around it before stopping and using his paw to squish it. "Good boy!" He ran up to me and I began scratching his head. "See, Chris, this is what a man looks like." I said pointing down to the innocent canine. He rolled his eyes in response before marching back upstairs and to his office.

Later

I was just finishing up some paperwork with my laptop on our couch with Dodger curled up on my lap. Chris came jogging down and joined the two of us. Once I finished my work I placed my laptop down and began snuggling with Dodger.

"C'mon bud," Chris said as he starting nudging Dodger, "Make some room for me."

"No," I said looking Chris in the eyes, "I want a real man." He rolled his eyes and took the recliner instead as he huffed.

"I want a real man." I could hear Chris mumbling trying to mock me.

"Excuse me?" I snapped at him.

"Nothing, nothing." He said tensing up, "But I am a real man." he mumbled and crossed his arms.
