"Please sit down," he said.

 I flinched. 

I sit down and was staring at the ground.

There was a huge silence.

"Lady Rose," he said

I flinched. "Yes?"

"I agree to make a contract with you," he said.

Huh?!

"FOR REAL?!" I said screaming while standing up.

"Yes, for real," he said while his eardrum bleed.

"Omg, I'm so happy," I said smiling.

"Good, where is the contract?" he asked.

"Oh." I pull out the paper and give it to him.

He grabs it and reads the contract.

"So, what is the requirement?" he asked.

"Um.. anything you like?" I responded.

"Anything?" he said while smirking at me.

I quiver

"um... like not falling in love or I do the housework for you." I said,

Did you just smirk at me?

"How about...yeah I like your idea," he said.

"Huh?" I said,

"About you doing housework. Maybe I should make you work for me," he said looking scary.

"N-no, how about let's not touch each other," I said.

"I have a few requirements as well. Do you wish to hear it?" I asked

"Yes," he responds.

"Well, I will be your wife for 2 years and after that, I will get out of your hair," I said.

"Second, don't tell anyone that this is a contract marriage, only you and I know." I continue.

"Third, let not fall in love with each other" I won't disturb your works at all."  

"Are my requirements to your liking?" I asked.

"Yes," I responded. 

"Great, then-" I said interrupted. 

"But you have to fulfill your roles as my wife," he said. 

"Including going to a party, arranging a tea party, going to a tea party, business work, small things like that." he continue.

"Are you okay with that?" he asked. 

I nodded. 

Of course, I have to do that. It an important duty as a duke's wife. It pretty common in many novels I have read. But it's okay. It the only way people think we actually a couple. 

I gave him the contract and after looking over it again. He decides to sign it. 

yes, I can finally survive in this. I won't have a bad ending!!!!

"Now, you will live in this mansion for now on," he said.

"It's getting late, it's best for you to go home." I will send you a carriage back home" he said while standing up.

"Ah, yes. Thank you," I said standing and bowing. 

I went home. I was staring at the mansion from the window.

I sigh. 

What a long day. I'm glad it works out well. But I wonder if I made a valid mistake. After all, he smirked at me.

I plop on my bed. 

Gosh, I'm so tired. I will tell my parents everything but right now I will sleep.

I closed my eyes and fell deeply asleep.

-next day-

I told my family that I will be marrying the duke. They seem very happy but they were also feeling sad. 

Actually scratch that. Only my father was sad. My mother and brother seem very happy that I'm getting married especially since they want me to have children.....

"I'm so happy for you." my mother said excitedly.

"Aww, my baby is getting married," he said, sobbing.

"Oh, does that mean, I will be a brother-in-law?" my brother said.

"wait, I want to be an uncle too," he said. 

"MAke some Kids?!" he yelled while holding my hand. His face sparkle. 

"YESS! I want to have grandkids." my mother yelled while her face sparkle 

"No way, my beloved daughter will not have sex!" he yelled. 

s--sex?! Please stop saying that word. It's disgusting to me.

My whole family was making a ruckus. 

"Mom, Dad, Brother. Please calm down," I said to them.

"NO we will not!" they yelled back.
