Tikki was happy with her holder.
Mei was strong and happy. A creative soul to the core.
Willing to get her hands dirty to protect people.
But she's also young and insecure.
Alqitat Alsawda', Plagg's holder, and Alnahila, Pollens holder, both trust her as a leader and as a friend.
After all the three had been picked up and raised together.

As the years go....

And they realize the damage it does to a young mind to have the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Meis once short black hair became longer, braided during battles and training. Dark eyes no longer soft but sharp as steel. Posture straight, moves ready to take you down. Willing to kill if necessary.
But there's still a softness reserved for Tikki, for her two best friends.
And for a few years that's enough.
Until Mind Breaker. An alien with ways to push into your brain.
Tikki knows what happened.
He dug out everything he could. Everything to break her.
And for a few moments that pain flowed into Tikki.
The dagger at her feet is within her grasp and she lunged for Mind Breaker, dagger buried in his heart.
And Mei falls, mind fracturing in dozens of pieces.
It took six months of her picking up the pieces, but Mei wasn't the same.
And when she went to a cliff near the compound, Mei spoke. "I'm sorry. I can't do it anymore." She looked at Tikki while removing the earrings. "I'm sorry Tikki."
And she took a step off the edge, plummeting to her death.
And Tikki couldn't help.
