Your eyes widened as you saw Yaku being hauled over to the bench by Yamamoto.

The libero went diving for a ball and accidentally stepped on someone's foot. He ended up rolling his ankle.

"Someone else go help those two!" You handed your notes to Coach Naoi and asked him to continue them for you.

You moved off of the bench and instructed for Yaku to sit where you previously were, at the end. Once he was sitting down, you grabbed a towel and draped it over his head. You couldn't help but wonder what was happening today.

First, Yamamoto was hit in the face, so you had to give him an ice pack during the timeout, and now Yaku rolled his ankle. It was still only the first set and you couldn't help but feel afraid for the boys.

You bit your lip and looked at Kuroo shaking your head. "You have to get Shibayama out here."

Coach Naoi handed you a new ice pack wrapped in a towel, and you gently held it to Yaku's ankle. It was bruising and you could clearly see the swelling.

"Try to scoot back a bit Yaku-san." You told him. "It'll be fine since I'm not returning to the bench."

The male did as you asked and you were able to elevate his ankle with your bag so that the blood would stop flowing to it.

You saw tears falling from Yaku's eyes and playfully ruffled his hair under the towel.

"I don't know much about Nekoma," you began. "But what I do know is that you have to believe in them for now."

You heard him grunt. Whether it was from the pain or in agreement to your statement, you wouldn't know. After grabbing Yaku's shoulders, you bent down so that you met his gaze at eye level. "They'll get to Nationals. Your ankle will heal. You'll be able to play again." You told him. "These are all things I know."

After awhile, Yaku tilted his head upwards and you could see that he was smiling. As he watched the game, you focused your attention on stabilizing his ankle.

"Ten minutes on. Ten minutes off." You told yourself, staring at the watch on your wrist.

When you glanced at the game, you realized how cool Team Nekoma was. Their blocks, feints, tips, and best of all: their defense. From what you could see, Kuroo was about to attempt a back attack. You weren't sure if you've ever seen him do that before. Your eyes widened as you saw Nohebi unable to react to it.

"Alright!" You and Yaku yelled simultaneously.

The first set belonged to Nekoma.

'Ten minutes off.' You stated, removing the ice so that his skin wouldn't get frostbite.

As you were sitting there unable to watch the game (since you were busy keeping Yaku's ankle still), you were left to listen.

It was then that you realized how conniving Nohebi was.

Their taunts were insulting. Worse of all—they were really getting under their skin. Once you placed ice back on the sprain, you witnessed Kuroo serve.

'Woah, that's cool.' You thought.

Yaku chuckled at your facial expression. "You totally just though, 'he's cool' or something, right?"

You blushed at this because no matter how many times you've seen Kuroo play, you were always mesmerized by it.

By the time your eyes returned to the court, you saw Kuroo tightly holding his right hand.

'It's injured.'

That was your first thought to his gesture. Kuroo just tried to set a spike and he was paying for it. Nekoma's captain noticed your gaze as he ran to switch out with the sub-libero and chuckled.
