I laid in bed, I felt useless. All I do is eat chips and watch Netflix all fucking day.
I didn't even have the energy to pick up my phone, I felt it vibrate next to me. I really did try to get it.. I really did. The vibration stopped, I sighed and closed my eyes. Feeling the tiredness seep in
"Girl I KNOW you saw me calling your damn phone" my eyes flung open to see Dani at the foot of the bed. Her arms were on her hips and she glared at me
"Help me" I mumbled
"You're too damn lazy, go for a run. Take off the tv, get a hobby, do your girlfriend" she rolled her eyes
I rolled onto my stomach and pulled the covers over my head
"Oh for fuck sakes, get up" she pulled the covers off of me, I hissed at the sunlight
"Girl, you KNOW that's my line" she laughed
"What do you want with meee" I groaned
"I miss my best friend" she said honestly, I felt like utter shit. I've been so wrapped up with giving my time to Aelia, that I forgot one of the main reasons I even came here in the first place.
"Alright, I'm up" I pulled myself from the bed, I felt a tad bit dizzy.
"Great, now I'm gonna torture your gag reflex. You'll be coming with me to feed" she smirked, her white fangs emerged from her lips
"Do I have to?"
"Bitch-"
"okay okay, I'm coming" I laughed, I walked over to the counter to grab a brush, I pulled my hair in a messy bun and dragged on a t shirt with a jeans. I had no-one to impress, hell, I was going to a blood bank.
"Ready?" Dani asked
"Ready"
We left the house and got into her ruby red mustang. It felt weird not being the one in the driver seat. I'm so accustomed to taking control
"So what have you been up to?" I asked her
"Dracula has been on my neck like a leach for a couple days. He wants me to follow in his footsteps so bad, I don't know what to do. Living up to the family name is so much pressure. How can I be the Lord of the undead?" Dani sighed
"Why's he pushing you so hard?"
"I don't know... But he did say he wanted to take a break and let me take charge for a while. I'm just a kid, what do I know about ordering around fucking vampires?"
"I'm sorry, that's really tough" I sighed
"There's no need to be sorry, from what I've heard. Your dad is really missing you down there" she said, her eyes glanced to me.
"I could tell, he seemed out of it and more focused on technology. I really shouldn't have sent that phone there"
"Oh my God, I literally found his instagram account the other day I couldn't hold back myself" dani laughed.
"What did he post?" Dani nodded to her phone, I took the device in my hand and opened the app. The first photo of my father popped onto the screen

Oh my devil, poor Maria. I looked through some more of his photos until Dani reached our destination.
"What are you gonna do when he goes on break?" I questioned, Dani sighed and shrugged. We walked into the building and I was instantly met with a rustic smell.
"Good night Miss Slavic, will you be having the usual?" the receptionist asked, I looked around
It looked like the typical emergency care until. The receptionist lead us to a wooden door far from everyone. We pushed past the door and walked down a step.
The walls felt cold, the steps felt like it was endless. The air felt heavy. We finally reached the last step. I furrowed my brows, a tall, slender woman came up to us. She smiled her pearly whites
"Right this way Miss Slavic" she said to Dani, we walked towards the bar, Dani pulled up a seat, I joined her
"What is this place?" I questioned, the bartender slid a class of red liquid to her, I assumed it was blood. Dani took the class in her fingers and downed the liquid
"You'd be surprised at how many people believe in vampire. I mean, we're real Ofcourse but they didn't need to know that" she turned to face me
"They come here to donate blood specificlly to the supernatural classes. My father runs all fifteen institutions. The humans donate blood, we tell them it's going to good use, they still believe it's going to vampire. How right they were" she smirked
"So.. Don't you feed off humans?" I questioned
"Sometimes, but I try to keep my hands clean. Sometimes I tend to go overboard, but it's all with their permission. Stealing blood is such a thing of the past" she rolled her eyes. I chuckled, she drank another glass
"Come with me, I wanna show you something" she took my hand and lead me through a door. It was dark and cold. We kept walking for a few minutes until she pushed another door open.
"Wow" I said
"I know right? I'm still memorized by it" she said and leaned against the wall
The stars reflected in my eyes. It was gorgeous. I stared up to the sky, it was a mix of midnight blue and dark pink. The starts were plentiful, my eyes looked over a hill, a neon green line danced along the mountains
"It's called 'the nothern lights' Dani whispered "It's not common to see here in California but I guess you came on a lucky night" she giggled
"It's incredible" I whispered
"It really is" she smiled, I furrowed my brows and hung my head low. I was getting too attached to this place and it was terrifying me
"What if I don't want to go back home?" I said, Dani raised a brow
"You don't want to?"
"I don't know.. I really like it here but.. My dad.. " I said, Dani sighed
"I guess we're both fucked huh?"

Also, if there's any confusion. I started off the book with Luna being dominant but as anyone could tell, Stuff just doesn't work out and plans change. Luna is hooked on Aelia, it's like she has control over her. That's why she acts a little sub sometimes, and Aelia is obviously a sub LMAO but Luna brings out a certain side of her she didn't expect (Hence the dominance). I guess you could call Aelia a switch and Luna's SLIGHTY a switch. Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough for everyone.
Luna's not short, her photos usually come across like that lmao but in the story she's just a few inches taller than Aelia.
Also, someone said Luna isn't pretty, sooooo I'll be posting pictures of Luna in almost every chapter :)
I also saw someone asking about Luna's powers, if Luna's powers come across as violent, it's not supposed to be meant that way, she usually teases them. She doesn't do it to hurt anyone. As for Jake, I'll fix that jaw part right away.
Also, I don't proof read the chapters so I really do apologize if some words aren't spelt correctly. I usually fix them a couple min/hours later
