Aelia's pov

-

"5, 6, 7, 8" I navigated my team through our routine. The football team have a game coming up this week and we've been working our asses off.

Not alot of people understand cheerleading, Cheerleading is not just about slick dance moves and pom poms, it’s so much more than that. It's much more of a mix of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics with a street dance twist.

There's extraordinary balancing acts, frenzied flipping, tossing and twirling, and moves that would look great as a catagroy in the Olympic Games.

I watched as Mia's petite body was throw into the air

"Andddd now!" I screamed. Mia extended her legs mid air to a finishing toe touch. A smile plastered onto my lips when she landed it correctly, her body dropped into the arms of two male teammates and she was gently brought down.

"I think today was great guys, good job. We'll meet here again tomorrow, same time" I smiled at them

Their faces dropped in disbelief, some looked confused. What? Did I do something wrong?

"Why's she being nice?" someone whispered

"Girl didn't you hear, Aelia's dating Luna now" I rolled my eyes.

"I can hear you, you know that right?" I questioned, the two girls' faces turned bright red, they dipped their head and grabbed their bags before running out the gym. I chuckled and grabbed my gym bag

"Soooo" Mia said skipping over to me, she hooked our arms together as we walked out the school

"So what?" I chuckled

"How's your new found love for carpets going?" Mia smirked. This bit-

"That's disgusting" I narrowed my eyes to her

"No but seriously, how's everything with you and Luna?" she asked as we approached her car. Mia usually gives me a ride home after practice, -before Luna offered Ofcourse-

"It's going great, I honestly wouldn't know what I would do without her" I smiled

"Awwww look at you blushing" she teased

"Shut up, I'm not blushing" I warned

"Highschool sweethearts" she shook her head smiling

Have you ever met someone that changed your life so much that you honestly couldn't imagine your life without them?

Have your ever gotten so attached to someone that it physically pains at the thought of being without them?

I just can't seem to get that girl out of my mind and I was fully okay with that

A vibration from my pocket brought me out of my thoughts, I opened my messages from my phone

Mom🐻: Dinner with Luna tonight, surpriseeeee 😏

Goddamit mother! I sighed and shoved my phone back into my pocket. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to spend more time with Luna. But I still haven't told my dad about us yet, or about me. I have no idea how he'll take it and it was nerve racking. I'm not okay, I feel so scattered.

"What's wrong?" Mia asked

"Dinner with Luna" I said

"Is that why you're frowning?"

"No... I just haven't told my dad anything about us" I mumbled

"Oh... Wow.." she said in awe

"For the years I've known your father, he's been nothing but nice. Even in the most stressful situations he always pulled through and kept everything together. I'm sure he'll be okay about this" Mia said as she placed a comforting hand on mine.
