Author's Note:

Hey guys!

Eee! I'm so excited to share my stories with you! I'm thinking about doing an upload schedule like every other day. That should give me plenty of time to create and edit quality content for you. I really hope you like my first story, featuring our fave shark boi, Kirishima. It's just a goofy little fic that I hope will get a smile or two out of you.

No warnings, we are wholesome children of Jesus in this book.

Enjoy!

Kirishima stepped in through the door, the familiar jingle of keys ringing in his ears as he walked inside his apartment. He saw the lights were on and knew you were home. He and you had been friends for quite some time now, and you had both agreed that splitting rent for an apartment together was a good idea while you both worked towards your dreams of becoming heroes. Little did you know, however, the redhead had been harboring feelings for you for almost as long as you had been friends. He couldn't bring himself to tell you about his crush, however, afraid you would turn him down. It felt like confessing would almost be worse now that you were living together, seeing as it would only make things more awkward between the two of you if you didn't feel the same way about him. Even so, Kirishima had to admit, he didn't completely mind keeping it a secret. He got to spend more time with you than ever; seeing you in the morning, eating together, overhearing you sing in the shower. If anything, it felt like he was growing more in love with you.

Kirishima made his way to his bedroom, noticing your door was shut. He didn't think anything of it until he heard you from the other side of the door.

"I love you, baby. You know that right?" your voice cooed. The sentiment was followed by what was definitely a kiss, then another . . . and another.

Baby? Kirishima drew his eyebrows together in confusion. Since when had you been in a relationship with someone? He thought he knew pretty much everything about you, at least everything as important as your relationship status. Had you been hiding something from him? Someone? Kirishima couldn't help himself but stop in his tracks and continue listening. He knew he shouldn't. You should be allowed to have privacy. But you were, however, in your shared apartment. He did live here.

You kept speaking, "I love you so much." This was followed by a rapid succession of smooching noises that Kirishima knew could only be kisses. He couldn't help but feel jealous. He wanted you to be saying those words to him, for you to be peppering his body in sweet kisses. He knew he wasn't being fair, he hadn't even worked up the courage to tell you he liked you, but still.

He heard you giggle. "You're so cute, you know that? Your little forehead, *smooch* your cheeks, *smooch smooch*. I just want to hold you close like this."

Kirishima couldn't help but imagine you were saying those words to him. He knew there was no longer hope, now that you were involved with someone else, but maybe this one last time, he could just imagine your sweet voice speaking those words. He wished he could look down into your face, and hold you in his arms, and repeat them back to you. He wanted so desperately to be on the receiving end of your voice when you spoke like you were now.

"You're so soft and warm—OW! Hey, that was my hair! Rude!"

Wait, what? What was happening? What were they doing to you?!

"Eww! Your breath smells! Disgusting!"

Okay maybe now Kirishima would stop imagining that everything you said you were saying to him.
