"The hours I spend with you I look upon as sort of a perfumed garden, a dim twilight, and a fountain singing to it. You and you alone make me feel that I am alive. Other men it is said have seen angels, but I have seen thee and thou art enough." -George Moore

NICCOLE'S POV

Finally, I arrive back home. I stretch my hand to the backseat and take the flowers I'd so carelessly thrown there in the morning, before coming down and entering my house.

I head straight to my room, and flop on the bed, heels and all. I arrange the pillows in a way that makes me slightly upright on the bed, and I'm not completely lying down.

Taking my time, I admire the beautiful roses, scenting them. And they smell like, well... roses. They smell so beautifully. Searching the flower carefully, I find a card hidden within it's depths. Opening it, I read it out loud

The hours I spend with you I look upon as sort of a perfumed garden, a dim twilight, and a fountain singing to it. You and you alone make me feel that I am alive. Other men it is said have seen angels, but I have seen thee and thou art enough. George Moore once said that, and with you, I find that his words are true. I hope you love the flowers. Enjoy your day.

Awwnnn. I'm so touched. Who knew Quill had a romantic side to him?

I stretch to get my laptop from my bedside table and put it on. I want to text him and thank him for the flowers.

[Hi, Quillon.] I type and wait. A few minutes later, he texts me back

[Hi Niccole. Morning.]

[I saw the flowers, and um, the note. It was really thoughtful. Thanks, the flowers are beautiful] I text.

[Glad you like them. Where are you??]

[Home. You?]

[Work. I have a business meeting in about ten minutes time] he texts back

[Oh okay. I see you're busy then. Don't want to take much of your time] I chew on my fingers.

[ Niccole, no time we spend together, is ever too much. If at all anything, it's too little. I could always delay the meeting...] He suggests

[So about that other day... The condoms... I feel as if I botched things up. And I felt as if things between us became slightly, or a little bit weird, I mean we haven't seen since that day, so I can't tell...] I don't even know what made me type that. But it's been bothering my head since. I just have to know...

[Trust me Niccole, that's all in your head. Nothing's changed between us. You still manage to amaze, confuse and fascinate me, all at the same time. You were not wrong to stop our going further, it was the right thing to do. I should be the one apologizing for forgetting to bring those, when I'm used to planning and mapping out everything]
