“I’m sorry tripped you over.” He said as we’re walking down the hall “I wasn’t looking.”

He smiled. It was the most attractive smile I’ve ever seen.

“That alright,” I said, showing my teeth “It’s my fault, too.”

“I’m Dylan,” He offered me his hand “Nice to meet you!”

“I’m Kaylie, with an i-e” I said, shaking his hand.

We continued walking, when I suddenly remembered Janelle.

“Oh no!” I exclaimed.

“What is it?” Dylan turned to me worriedly.

“I left my friend in the lady’s room,” I smiled sheepishly. “I’ll catch ya later Dylan!”

I ran out the hallway door, and I swear when I turned my head back, I saw Dylan smiling at me.

“Janelle!” I called when I see her next to my locker.

She looked up and frowned.

“Where the hell were you??” She asked demandingly.

Geez woman, calm down.

“Oh, my God,” I grinned widely “I just ran into the hottest guy ever.”

Her eyes lighten up. “Who?”

“Dylan.” I said dreamingly.

“Dylan?” She raised her eyebrow “As in Dylan Carter? The Junior?”

Then I realized.

“Huh, I never knew his last name.” I wondered out loud.

“You are crazy” Janelle laughed.

“But no, he was so handsome!” My eyes were pleading. “I bumped into him, dropped my books and he was the one apologizing me! He even helped me up.” I remembered.

“But that’s the gentlemen act every boy should do…” Janelle cut my dream.

“You are so pessimistic Janie.” I pouted.

“Hehe, come on, let’s find this Dylan of yours.” She said as she pulled my hand. “But I’m positive that it is Dylan Carter.”

And the first period bell went off.

It’s lunch time.

I’m circling the cafeteria looking for Janelle. Where the hell is she? She had the same lunch block as I do. Then, I noticed a tall, brown hair guy walked by.

“Dylan!” I called.

He turned around and when he seemed to recognize me, he smiled.

“Hey Kaylie!” He walked towards me. “What are you doing?”

“What else do I do in the school’s cafeteria?” I raised my eyebrows.

He chuckled. “Sassy today, aren’t you?”

“I’m sassy every day.” I smiled.

“I gotta run.” He checked the watch. “I only have 15 minutes for lunch since I need to go to this student council meeting.”

“Wow you’re in Student Council?” I opened my mouth. “Surprise.”

“I’d rather take that as a compliment Kaylie.” He smiled, then turned around and walk away.

Then I saw Janelle in line for food. This girl.
