You two found this cute creature while you and him were out training. She was whimpering and had her two front legs broke and bloody. You two took her in and fixed her up. Now she sticks to Boruto like glue ontop of that she seems to love your fox.

He was a gift from your mother. She was a Inuzuka before she passed. When you were a young girl her fox had a litter of pups and he was the only one that was never afraid of the energetic little (H/C) girl running around. He was protective of you with Boruto but soon grew to like him... More when the new fox came into the picture.
