Malamig.

Madilim.

That's the first thing I've felt the moment I gain my conscious. It was so cold that I wanted to tangled on my sheet or just cover my whole body but  for some reason I couldnt. The darkness blinded me, creeps me out and brought nothing but pain and uncertainty.

Parang tukso na nagbalik lahat ng mga alaalang meron ako.

Dumantay ang mainit na luha sa nakapikit kong mata at tahimik na nasaktan sa mga nalaman.

Why?

Why do I need to remember that?

Nakakatawa kasi kung dati, atat na atat akong makaalala ngayon ay parang mas gugustuhin ko na lang na magkaroon ng amnesia ulit. This is exactly what I felt before. The pain is unbearable that I wish for it to gone or atleast forgot for awhile. Not knowing that my wish would be granted.

Through that accident.

I forgot.

I'm pain free for awhile.

But we can't forever escape from the reality.

Slowly, My eyes begun to open. Blurred image of the white ceiling welcomed my weary eyes and I could feel the cold breeze coming from the aircon. Smell of medicine and other substance makes me want to puke. I move my fingers to cover my mouth but it stop when I felt something warm holding my fingers.

Sunod kong narinig ay ang pinong pagkilos niya sa tabi ko.

"Lucky?"

He called my name as he caress my face and watch me intently as if what he saw is a dream.

"Fuck! You're finally awake!" He groaned as he pulled me into a tight embrace.

Napahigpit ang kapit ko sa comforter ng harapin niya ko at tinignan ng mabuti sa mata.

Blue eyes.

Damn!

Why do I remember someone with that eyes.

"Fuck! Why are you crying"

Napakislot ako ng maramdaman ang kamay niya sa pisngi ko. Ni hindi ko namalayang umiiyak na pala ako. Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya at ilang beses na umiling.

"Maybe I should call the doctor." sabi niya sa akin pero parang para sa sarili niya ito sinasabi. "Damn! That's what I should do. Stupid me" Tinalikuran niya ko para hanapin ang emergency buzzer.

Hinablot ko ang laylayan ng damit niya at umiling ulit. I want him to calm down. I want to tell him that he don't have to kasi okay naman ako pero hindi ko mahanap ang boses ko para sabihin iyon sa kaniya. Wala akong ibang nagawa kundi ang umiyak.

He gently hold my face and gave me a light kiss on my forehead before he went on his way to call the doctors.

"Yes please. Yeah, she's awake." he said through the phone.

I watched him there. That's when I notice the dark circles on his eyes, maybe he stayed up late by just watching me.

Inilibot ko ang paningin sa loob ng kwarto. Sa isang tingin pa lang ay alam kung mahal ang kwartong ito, dagdagan pa ng interior design nito at mga gamit. It looks like a private room.

Biglang sumakit tuloy ang ulo ko kung paano babayaran ang hospital bills.

"Yeah! Just make it quick!" Sabi niya bago binaba ang telepono. Nilingon niya agad ako.
