Hina swung open the class 1-A door, greeting the class. "Good morning everyone!" She exclaimed with a big smile on her face. The class greeted her back. Midorya happened to walk in behind her. "Oh. Hey Hina." She turned around to greet him. Sero and Kaminari heard a low moan come from next to them and looked to see Bakugou sitting with his legs on his desk, sulking. "Hey, Kacchan. What's up?" Kaminari asked him, knowing the negative backlash he would get. "DON'T CALL ME THAT DUNCE HEAD!" He yelled, setting off mini explosions in his hand. Sero decided to interject before he caused any damage.
"Ignore him. What is up though? Why are you giving Midorya and Hina death stares?" He lined up Bakugou's field of vision to the duo talking. "What other questions could stupid Deku have for her? It's like every time she walks in, he has to open his mouth." He groaned. Kirishima and Mina overheard the conversation and walked over to the trio. "Bakubro. Please don't blow me up for suggesting this but are you angry because Midorya is always talking to her?" Bakugou glared up at him intensely, putting his legs on the floor. "What's that supposed to mean, shitty hair?"
Kirishima slightly laughed at his look. "Don't take it the wrong way. It's just that whenever he talks to her, other people normally join their conversation. But you don't. I'm just suggesting that maybe you'd want to talk to her by yourself." He explained. The group looked at Bakugo, awaiting a snide response. "I mean..." He said calmly, deeply surprising them. He noticed their starry-eyed gazes. "WHAT'S WITH THAT LOOK? FUCK OUTTA MY FACE!" He yelled. They looked at each other and shrugged, walking away from him. He sighed and sat back with his legs up, his head back and his eyes shut. After a few seconds, he heard a knock on his desk. He peeked through one eye to see Hina standing over him.
He fully opened his eyes. "Hey Bakugou. So today I won't be in any classes because I have to go to the hospital in a bit." He leaned up at the word 'hospital'. "Oh, don't worry. It's nothing serious. Just a monthly check up on how my body is handling my quirks." She waved off his concern. "But I'll be back for lunch. And I noticed sometimes you eat by yourself. I normally eat with the teachers but if you'd like, I'd gladly eat with you." She said with a big grin. He kissed his teeth and turned the other way. Her grin dropped slightly at his action. "Whatever, fine. Just don't piss me off and don't be late." He stated as the bell rang for the first period to start. "You got it! Gotta go." She giggled as she made her way to the door. "Bye, everyone!" She waved as she ran out of the room.
Though he never showed it, Bakugou was practically counting the seconds until lunch. He didn't understand why but he was looking forward to it. "Ugh, why can't this lesson just end already? Wait, why do I want it to end? I mean, it is boring but that's not the reason why. I'm not excited about lunch. Am I?" He couldn't help but wonder as the bell rang for lunch, bringing him back from his thoughts. He immediately got up and started walking out of the classroom. Kirishima caught up with him. "Hey Bakugo. Wanna sit with us?" He asked. "I'm sitting by myself." He stated before leaving the room. Once he reached the cafeteria, he got his food and sat at an empty table.
Since the whole school knows about him and his attitude, they stayed away from his table. He noticed and sat back in his chair. "Where is she? I wanna eat my food." He mumbled under his breath. He looked around, trying to find her. "I swear if she's not back from the hospital, I'm just gonna look like a damn loner." He kept on looking until he heard a tray being set on the table. He turned to see Hina. "This seat taken?" She asked. He grumbled in response "Just sit already." She smiled at his reply as she sat down. "Sorry if I kept you waiting. I'm a bit drowsy." She apologised, gaining his attention.
"How was your appointment?" He asked with a sense of concern in his voice. "It was fine, I guess. They done some physical exams, tested my blood, the usual stuff. But they said I might have to get an operation. Nothing big. They said they were working on a machine that I can have on me to help keep my energy levels steady. They say it's kind of like a heart monitor. Luckily they said it wouldn't affect my plans to be a hero so that's good." She said, looking down at her food. As she finished her sentence, she weakly picked up her chopsticks and started eating. Bakugou could see that it wasn't just the appointment that brought her down. "What's the frown about?" She turned to him. "Oh. nothing. I'm just super tired. They took a good amount of blood and I still had to use my quirks a bit." She weakly laughed as she went back to eating. He was going to reach out for her shoulder when he heard someone exclaim from the opposite side of the table.
