A/N: The next oneshot will probably take a while, since I've got a few that I want to make but no motivation or idea of how to start them, so I decided to post this. Anyone that actually looks at any of the announcements I post, you might already know about this but I decided to post the prologue of my next actual book to gather hype or whatnot. I'll probably start publishing this book around April or May because of school but don't quote me on that. For now the title will be 'Operation: Darcada' it will be logicality centric partially because I've only written prinxiety centric books so far.

For a bit of background for those that didn't see the announcement, this book is based off the idea that we only use 10% of the brain. In this book, Logan will essentially be a bodyguard/hitman that is capable of using one-hundred percent of the brain. It just so happens that one day, he's hired to protect a certain Patton Davis...

Third Person

"When I say the word, you will surpass basic human intelligence. Unlike every other human in history, you will be able to use one-hundred percent of the brain."

That's what they told Logan, and that's all he truly remembered of the event. Heck, he couldn't even remember the code word that had given him his super-intelligence. All he knew was that one day he had been a normal kid, the next day he could comprehend just about everything around him.

At an early age he had been sought after by an elite agency because of a rare mental disorder he had, which allowed him to survive extensive experimentation that others could not. Aside from the rarity of the disease, it also killed most of its victims by the age of four. So by the time he reached his fifth birthday, this agency had already been watching him for some time.

He still had to learn reading, math, and such like a normal kid seeing as they couldn't just program the knowledge into him. Unlike others he was learning calculus by the time he was seven. He even set aside time to read the dictionary at the age of six so he could understand the big words the adults used.

Of course it was all approved by the government and his parents had no say in the matter since they had mysteriously gotten into a car accident only days after he had been taken in for testing. So, Logan was basically raised at this facility, being taught a wide variety of subjects that the American school system failed to teach its students, along with most colleges.

Once he turned sixteen, the agency decided to put him to use seeing as he could handle himself now. And they weren't wrong, he could speak sixteen languages total, ten fluently. He had been trained with most weapons imaginable, but had specifically focused on compact and handheld weapons. So they hired him out to the highest bidders as a bodyguard and if the job called for it with the money to 'justify' it, a hitman.

Over the years he had been responsible for the protection of several celebrities as well as important political figures. He was also the reason for the...disappearances of several foreign enemies, but you can't prove anything.

The agency would never turn him into the cops, especially since he could easily escape any prison and getting on the man's bad side had to be the worst mistake they could make. The smarter 'clients' of his might wonder why the government or military hadn't arrested him yet with his track record, but the reason should have been obvious. They had also hired Logan, so as long as he was useful and not used against them, he would walk free from any courtroom he might end up in.

He was the ultimate bodyguard, the ultimate spy, the ultimate weapon. He couldn't feel pain, they had figured out how to shut that part of the brain down, so technically he wasn't using one hundred percent of the brain, but he could. For the sake of humanity, he could still feel emotions.

Even though he despised them and for the most part denied their existence, he understood why they made him keep them. Without empathy, he would kill without remorse, get rid of anyone in his way, he would become sloppy and careless. Not to mention the fact that everyone around him would be in a lot more danger.

All of that effort, all of his jobs, all of his victims led him here. He stood in front of his boss, Angelo Cook, an aging man that had been in charge for as long as he could remember. The man had softened up since the birth of his first grandchild, and was a bit nicer to Logan.

Familiar with the routine, Logan sat down across from the man with perfect posture. He watched calmly as his boss slid a file over to him, "This is your newest assignment, Patton Davis. You are to find him, protect him, and bring him to Nathaniel Blake, the U.S. Trade Representative."

I take the file, scanning through it quickly, "Alright."

A/N: Obviously some bits and pieces are subject to change, so don't just skip over the prologue once I actually start posting the story please.
