A/N: Technically there's no ships, but there is heavily implied Prinxiety and Logicality

Third Person

Truthfully, Logan didn't know how he got here. He was known as a good student who never talked back to the teachers and yet, here he was, in detention, with all of these absolute idiots. Remus had gotten into a fight with some popular prick. Patton got in trouble because he tried to free the frogs that he thought were going to be dissected. Actually, the frogs were just being used for a safe experiment and the science teacher was not there. Roman was given a detention by the math teacher all because he was asking the person next to him a question. Janus was caught skipping, which he was usually pretty good at avoiding. Virgil was in detention after he snapped at a teacher, who was giving him crap over a homework assignment he had turned in three months ago.

Ms. Briggs was in charge of detention for the day, and glared at all of them as if they were personally responsible for her poor career choice. If you hate kids you shouldn't become a teacher, just saying. She went over all the rules, acting as if they were inmates rather than highschoolers.

Janus raised his hand, "Excuse me, but I believe we're allowed a bathroom break. May I have mine?" He knew when to choose his battles, and risking the whole 'I don't know can you?' thing was not on his agenda.

"I suggest you remain in your seat unless you want another detention," She says coldly, "You should have gone to the bathroom before showing up here. I believe you're perfectly capable of holding it."

"Damn okay," He says defensively, playing the innocent student for now, "Crabby b!tch," He mutters.

Her frown deepens, as if she had heard him. Then again, if she did hear him she would have started yelling at him about respecting your elders or something along those lines. Instead, she sat down at her desk and began to read some crappy novel.

Remus and Janus glanced at each other before nodding. The former reached into his backpack and found the small box he was looking for. Not really caring if Ms. Briggs looked up or not, Remus opened the box and tipped it over, letting a rat loose in the room. It scurried around, scaring Patton until the teacher noticed it.

Ms. Briggs stood up and screamed, running out of the room as the rat chased her out. Janus immediately gets up and shuts the door, locking it after her while Remus retrieves his pet.

Logan, ever the teacher's pet, speaks up, "I don't believe that's a good idea. When Ms. Briggs comes back she will be less than happy about being locked out and will most likely give all of us another detention."

"She can't give us more detention if she's not here," Janus argues, "Would you rather have me sneak out?"

Logan was about to confirm that he would prefer that, seeing as he couldn't reasonably be held accountable for that, "No, we wouldn't. Why don't we all just get to know each other?" Patton suggests happily.

- - -

Yeah, Logan didn't get it. They had gone from completely ignoring each other to acting like the best of friends. Granted, they already knew each other from years of being in the same school district. Currently, Patton was using the computer Logan had 'hacked' into, he just knew the teacher's password. He seemed happy enough to scroll through pages and pages of cute puppies.

Remus was busy walking around on one of the lab tables in the back, holding beakers full of what we can only hope are nonreactive. Roman and Virgil were chanting for him to drink them, and knowing Remus he would do it without the spectators. Janus was using a pencil to unscrew the bolts on every chair partially except for the ones they were currently using. The point was for the chairs to collapse underneath the next person to sit on them.

It was strange seeing such different people getting along to a certain point. And Logan, surprisingly didn't mind all that much. He was enjoying seeing Patton light up at the thousands of animal pictures, even if Remus did bite off the corner of his notebook earlier. He could always get a new one, even if he'd have to continue using the other to study for some time.

Had it not been for the detention, Roman and Virgil would never have talked to each other or even noticed each other. Remus and Roman would have gone about their day ignoring the other if they hadn't ended up here. Janus was having more fun than usual in the room, but that was probably because the teacher wasn't able to get back in.

She showed up some time ago, yelling at them to open the door but none of them listened. Logan would have let her in but Remus threatened him with an extension cord and a pair of rubber gloves. What he planned on doing with the items they weren't sure, but Logan didn't want to find out.

They all looked up when the door opened. Ms. Briggs had called the janitor, who had a copy of every teacher's key for times like this. Students had staged several mutinies against her and other irritating teachers over the years and didn't get in much trouble.

"That's it! I want you all out! If the principal asks I'll say that you all sat out detention like freaking angels if I have to! Just get out of my classroom, there's no way I'm going to deal with you all fir another hour!" She screeched.

They were all tempted to point out that she didn't deal with them for 98% of the time except Patton, but they weren't about to give her a reason to change her mind. They were off the hook, there's no point in pushing her even further. Roman covered Remus's mouth just to be sure that he wouldn't ruin it. As soon as Ms. Briggs gathered her things and left, Roman pulled his hand back and wiped the spit off.

"Well, this was nice, we should do it more often. Anyway, I've got homework to set on fire so see ya losers later!" Remus declares, leaving immediately.

"And I have to drive that idiot," Roman says glumly, grabbing his keys and leaving, winking at Virge as he left.

"I might stick around a bit longer to dig up some dirt on the prick of a history teacher," Janus tells the remaining kids, sitting down behind the teacher's desk and grabbing a random file.

Logan checks the time, "I have to leave for work, my boss is about as tolerant as Ms. Briggs."

Patton stands up, "I've gotta go babysit my neighbor's kid, but I'd like to talk to you guys again sometime. I had a lot of fun!"

"And I have to contemplate my life choices. Good luck Jan," Virgil says absentmindedly, still way too flustered from Roman's wink.

For the most part, they didn't have hope that their little group would ever get together like that again. No matter what Patton said, Roman and Janus wouldn't risk their reputations for them. Remus would find someone more fun to hang out with. Virgil and Logan would be denied if they tried to talk to Roman the popular kid, or Janus the loner you didn't want to mess with. So, those two didn't have hope for it. Roman and Jan figured they would move on from the slight connections they formed. Patton would give up on them, because there was no way the group would stick together in public. They had their own groups and cliques already.

But, maybe Roman would decide that talking to the emo kid would be worth it if he could see the other blush. Maybe Remus was a bit more interested in Janus's scar, or ruining Patton's innocence then he'd admit. Maybe Virgil would allow himself to get close with them, but he wouldn't make the first move. Maybe Patton would be stubborn enough, or desperate enough to frame all of them so they'd end up back in detention. Maybe Logan could learn something by befriending them, since he couldn't spend all his time studying.

Maybe, just maybe, this would work.

A/N: Kinda vague ending but I really like it and holy crap almost 1400 words. Also, you're getting this early so I might not post this weekend.
