Aleign's.

I immediately craned my neck to give it a slight massage as soon as I stepped out of the plane.

Despite the tiredness, I welcomed the Philippines with a big smile on my face. I miss this country but definitely not the hot temperature here. Nanibago na naman tuloy ako sa klima kaya itinanggal ko muna ang aking coat, leaving the sleeveless turtle neck as my top and a black skinny jeans in my bottom part. I am still wearing my black heeled boots as I walked the long hallway of this airline.

This gives me a vivid feeling of the last time I went to America and came back to the Philippines.

I am already visualizing the scenario of Kyla's impatient face and I can't help but to stifle a laugh. She is probably sitting impatiently at one of the bleachers. Ako pa ang maghahanap sa sundo ko. But, I don't mind.

I miss my Kylalaine so much!

I still needed to search for her but I immediately saw her slim body standing in one of the crowds while her eyes roam around the people.

When our eyes met, she left the sea of people to meet me halfway.

I smiled widely and ran to her direction. She instantly spread her arms and I jumped to her as I wrapped my arms around her body.

"I didn't expect you here!" I exclaimed.

She rolled her pretty eyes with her long eyelashes and defined eyeliner. "I told you, I've changed."

"Only your eye-roll mannerism didn't change," I chuckled.

"This will remain with me forever, Aleign," maarte niyang banggit habang naka-clung ang kamay sa'kin.

I laughed hard and she glared at me.

"You didn't tell me about the real score between you and Jake. You only tell me about your work which I am proud of, by the way."

So, you mean to say that, in my three weeks of leaving the Philippines, you two never had any progress?!" I hysterically asked, hindi talaga makapaniwala na wala man lang naganap kahit isa.

While in the middle of a deep thought about the real thing between them, it suddenly brought me to the possibility that maybe Charlie and her really took their engagement seriously.

Honestly, his last words bothered me.

"If I should've known the truth a long ago… I shouldn't have caused you pain. I'm sorry for being so dumb."

It always crossed my mind, the reason for my sleepless nights.
