Since Kylie went home in the Philippines from Australia, we just suddenly got close. I don't know, maybe because of my character development?

I mean, I don't treat her badly now than I did before. I find it weird yet comforting. But, I like what we are today.

Magkasama kaming nanonood ng Netflix sa sala habang kumakain ng french fries. I was busy crunching the fries in my mouth when Dad suddenly walked down the stairs while buttoning his sleeves.

I continued crunching the fries while staring intently at the screen. Nawala lang ang atensiyon ko doon nang tumigil si Dad sa harap namin. I stopped crunching the fries in my mouth too.

"Hello, girls. Pack your things. We're going to Boracay tomorrow."

Ilang beses ata akong napakurap dahil sa biglaang sinabi ni Daddy at tuluyan ng hindi nanguya ang fries. Hindi ko man nakikita ang reaksyon ni Kylie pero alam ko na nagulat din siya.

This is just so sudden.

"Bukas? Agad?" si Kylie ang unang nakabawi sa pagkagulat.

Dad gave her a weird look. "Yes. Kakasabi ko lang. Mag-impake na kayo ngayon. Five days tayo doon."

Automatic kaming napalingon ni Kylie sa isa't-isa dahil parehas kaming nabigla sa sinabi ni Daddy. He doesn't usually ask us to go outside so saying this infront of us seems like he also dropped a bomb.

"And we're going to Coron after," dagdag ulit ni Daddy bago siya naglakad paalis kaya napalingon na naman kami ni Kylie sa kaniya.

But mine was with desire and excitement. Coron is one of my dream destination! Okay, what's with my Dad, seriously?

Dad threw me a meaningful look. "We'll going to celebrate our holidays there. And... to also celebrate Kyla's debut."

Kylie gasped beside me. Oh, she must've remembered that my birthday is approaching.

Today is December twenty-three and my birthday will be on twenty-eight. And, the fact that my Dad really thought of a celebration for my debut melts my heart.

"We're going to spend my birthday in Coron?" I clarified, just to make sure that I heard it clearly.

"Yep. That's your dream destination, right?" ngiti ni Daddy.

I can't believe he still remembers that. Isang beses ko lang iyon nabanggit dahil nagandahan talaga ako sa tanawin ng Coron nang makita ko 'to sa ibang social media apps. I can't help but to voice my amusement about it and my Dad heard it but he never told me that he'll bring me there.

Dad has his evil side but he has a soft spot too which I liked.

Itinago ko ang excitement ko sa kanila kahit sa totoo lang ay hindi na ako makapaghintay na lumubog na ang araw ngayon at magising kinabukasan na pupunta na kami sa Boracay. We rarely have a vacation as a family. Madalas kapag umaalis kami ay dahil sa business trip.

This is one of the rare moments in my life that should be treasured.

Hindi naman halatang excited ako dahil mas nauna pa akong nag-impake kay Kylie at iniwan ko talaga ang panonood ng Netflix para makapaghanda agad ng gamit para bukas. Mom entered my room and my eyes widened a fraction when she showed me the bikinis she is carrying with her.

"Mom, you want me to wear these?" tanong ko habang sinusuri ang bawat two-piece bikinis at meron ding mga one-piece.

"Of course. You have a sexy body that deserves to be flaunt in a beach. You should wear these, okay?"
