It felt as if time hadn't moved. The room I was held in had no windows and had only one sliding panel that acted as a doorway in and out of the room. My head was pounding; the sweat from my forehead was dripping down my face like I had been dunked into a bucket of water. I couldn't wipe it away as my hands and whole body was strapped to a metal table that held me vertical to the glistening black floor. I could barely keep my eyes open as the broken blade kept shifting in the wound on my back as the cold metal from behind me kept pushing it in further. The blade's pain wasn't the worst part of the wound, but the poison slowly taking its toll. From the position I was currently in, there was no possible way for me to use the force to push the blade out or even heal myself properly as the panel slid open with a short but loud sound as the one person I've been avoiding for years entered the room. The black visor made it difficult to see into his eyes, but there was always room for creativity for me. I angled my head against a metal rim encasing my head as Kylo Ren started to pace around where I was trapped.

"Amara Djinn...I've been looking all over the galaxy for you. You've been quite hard to find." His voice was hidden behind the mechanics of his helmet as the faint image of Darth Vader popped into my head, making me slightly chuckle.

"What can I say? Men love to chase me." I did what I could to not move my body an inch as I spoke with little pride to hide the pain in my back.

"I would say that I'm quite impressed, but it seems to me that recently you slipped up. With a reputation like yours, that's quite disappointing." I heard his voice from behind me as I tried not to close my eyes and blackout for the third time since they captured me.

"I'm human. Shit happens." I tried to shrug my shoulders to show effect, but it couldn't happen as easily as I wanted to.

"You're also strong with force. Shouldn't you know any better?" I could hear the taunting of his voice as he remained behind me, which was good because I physically rolled my eyes at his comment.

"I've been hiding away and looking out for myself for the past six years, Kylo Ren. One slip-up doesn't make much of a difference compared to anyone else who's done less." I commented back with a little confidence in my tone as his figure came back around fully to face me.

"Yes, self-preservation, you once called it. I am quite curious about how you managed to do it this time. Please, Miss Djinn, enlighten me." As he spoke, I observed his body language as he got closer and closer to me before bringing his head inches from mine—big mistake, dick.

"With pleasure," I spoke before using a good amount of head strength and a tiny amount of force to headbutt him as he stumbled back from the pressure hitting against his helmet. Too bad that hurt me more than it did him as I felt the blade go in deeper into my back as I hissed in pain.

"Shit!" I felt much angrier at myself as Ren fixed himself before returning to stand in front of me, but before he could retaliate, I felt a load of warm liquid shoot up from my throat as I coughed up the substance as it hit the floor and his uniform.

"What is this? What did-"

"You know, for a warlord like you, I would've thought you'd be a lot smarter than you look. It looks like the First Order takes after it's leader." I spat with venom and actual blood from my mouth as he gripped my chin. Unable to see his true face, I did, however, watched as he moved my head from side to side as he started to look around the front side of my body before stepping away. I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face as his mask settled back onto me.

"Poison's settling in, Kylo Ren. If you're as smart as they say, you better find the wound fast. Otherwise, I'll die in a few hours, maybe less." I couldn't help but joke about my current state as I tried with the last amount of strength to heal my wound from causing any more damage as I felt and heard the sounds of metal releasing the hold on me. Feeling my body being pulled forward by a strong force, I was caught in the arms of Kylo Ren as he glided his hand in the area where the stab wound was.

"How could I have overlooked this!? Damn it!" I heard him shout into the room as the darkness to sleep returned as I felt my entire body go limp and weak in his arms as I lost the feeling of the floor beneath me.

***********

Waking up in a place brighter than the last room, I eased myself up onto my elbows as two doctors in white coats urged me to lay back down as I smacked their hands away. One was male, and one was female. Talking amongst themselves as they updated me on my health, I rolled my eyes, knowing perfectly well that I was healed and fine as the male doctor turned away from me as I smiled. Jumping out of bed, I felt fully restored as he flipped out on me before the female doctor asked nicely for me not to kill her partner.

"Well, if you let me leave, I will spare your life."

"We can't necessarily do that. Commander Ren has ordered us to take you to his quarters once your health is fully regained." The female doctor spoke as she raised her hands to show her surrender. Narrowing my eyes at her words, I scoffed as I broke off a piece of the metal bar of the bed railing and aimed it at the male doctor. His face was pure horror.

"And why would I do that? I'm not going anywhere near that man."

"He informed us about your wound, and if it weren't for him bringing you here himself, you would've died. He spoke about no longer seeing you as a prisoner but as a guest of some sort." As I held the railing bar to the male doctor as the female spoke, I had wondered what Ren would've done while I was weakened, expecting him to kill me on the spot.

"And why would he save me? We're enemies." I questioned his motive by asking the male doctor in front of me as he started to shake in his shoes.

"He said you were worth saving, and if we didn't try, he would've killed us on the spot and found another med-bay." Puzzled by the male's answer, I shifted my sight back to the female behind the bed as she shook her head. Looking through their minds, I could see both were telling the truth. Lowering the bar in my hand away from the male doctor, he sped his way to the other side of the room and hid behind the female.

"Why his quarters?" I asked, knowing I shouldn't care, but I did anyway.

"Whatever plans he has for you, I'm sure he'd thought you'd be safer to sleep there. At least until he has a room made up for you." Nodding my head a little at the very disgusting thought, I had to think quickly as I pulled my left leg up to feel for my lightsaber inside my boot, relaxing a little the moment I felt the object.

"He tried taking what was inside your boot, but he-"

"Let me guess; he got zapped pretty bad? Lucky him." I smiled with a sarcastic touch in my tone as I looked towards the digital panels on the walls as I saw the broken blade pop up as I pointed to the screen. The female doctor nodded at my action as she explained how terrible the blade's extraction was, but the healing process was the quickest she's ever seen anyone heal.

"Even Commander Ren doesn't heal that quickly. It was something when he came to visit an hour ago that he noticed and took note of." The male doctor spoke with a little enthusiasm as he chimed in. He visited me. And he carried me here? So me being poisoned bothered him enough that he needed to keep me alive? Who the fuck was this guy? And why was it so important to keep alive?

"And that blade? Where is it?"

"It was taken to our special labs for analysis on that poison. We tried searching for the blade and the poison in our systems as you were resting but, we couldn't find anything." The woman spoke as I tilted my head but internally smiled. No, you wouldn't have anything on those because they were never logged in the place they were created.

"And now that you're fully rested and healed, I will escort you to Commander Ren's quarters. I hear it's nice on the inside." The woman spoke as I gripped the metal bar tighter in my hands as she just gave me a look before letting me proceed out of the med-bay with her at my side.

We walked in silence for most of the trip to the other side of the ship, wherever I was, as she asked a few questions about how I actually felt. Giving her simple answers as I gave devilish glares to any oncoming humans of the First Order, I silently searched for where Ren was as he was in his quarters, surprising me. Not thinking that he would be waiting for me to arrive, I had to stay guarded, alert, and calm. Hearing and seeing someone snap their fingers in my face, I stopped and looked at the doctor next to me as she smiled sweetly, or so I had seen.

"I can't imagine how weird this must be for you. Walking around an enemy's ship but yet you're not seen as one by Commander Ren."

"I won't walk with you and say that I don't have a strong urge to rip the place apart but otherwise, I'm just dandy," I spoke with strong sarcasm as I smiled at a few mechanics that heard my comment as I felt fear surge through their bodies, making me smile.

"Commander Ren informed me that you're also force-sensitive. May I ask if that was the reason you were able to heal so fast?"

"Well, he's not wrong, and yes. I was trying to keep the blade from going further into my body when I was strapped to that damn table."

"You were able to do that? I was wondering why the poison wasn't spreading as fast as we thought it would. Your actions made Commander Ren speechless before he left for us to tend to you. I don't know about him, but I'm overly impressed with how you were able to save yourself." Just from hearing her words as we walked down a much quieter hallway, I couldn't help but feel a strong sense of pride as she spoke

"Well, I'm the only one of me. Not one other person can do what I do." And too bad there wasn't another. Picking up on her emotions, she was calmer now, less tension between us as we walked further away from any commotion as we walked down a hallway that had only one door on the left-hand side.

"Commander Ren, though he may be harsh and ruthless, he normally takes care of the women when it comes to living in his quarters. So, don't be nervous."

"I'm not nervous. I don't like him." It was actually along the lines of hatred, but I had to keep myself tame for now if I wanted to have the right chance to escape.

"I'm sure he'll grow on you. Maybe, if you're lucky, you might get to see his face." She spoke as she knocked on the panel door as I let out a heartless laugh.

"No one wants to see that ugly face. I sure don't." I humored mostly myself because I truly didn't want to know if he were even human underneath, not that he could be. Once the door panel slid open, Ren was standing right up against it as the female doctor smiled sweetly at him, making me roll my eyes with disgust before she handed me a metal keypad.

"If there are any changes to your health, please let me know. The med-bay is always open for your convenience or if you have questions, Miss-"

"Amara Djinn," Ren spoke as he pulled me into his room by my arm, but before she could leave, the doctor stood in between the opening with a shocked look on her face.

"Just a clarification, doc. The prettiest names tend to carry the deadliest reputations." I smiled before using the force to push her away from me as the panel closed on both sides.

Turning around as I ripped my arm out of Ren's grip, I looked around at the boring room that was too dark and too cold for my liking, not that I planned on staying long. Hearing my boots clicking against the floor, I carefully inspected everything about this place to memorize it later as I used a finger to delicately slide it across a metalized table while also checking for dust, only to find it spotless.

"Don't expect to find any comfort while staying in my quarters, Amara-"

"Oh, don't worry, I've slept in worse places than this with the same kind of men like you. You better be lucky you don't wake up tomorrow, and you're missing a limb, or worse." I taunted with a threatening smile as I turned my head to him. Strolling over as his heavy boots vibrated through my ears, he towered over me as I peered my head up to him with no innocent look on my face.

"You're in my quarters, Amara. Threatening me in any way will get you to be punished in my most severe way. You will follow any and every order I give you, or else-"

"What, you'll kill me? Funny, you had the opportune chance to when I had a broken and poisoned blade stuck in my back a few hours ago. But what did you do? You carried me to the closest med-bay to have my life be saved because you saw something worth saving. I don't know about you, but even I wouldn't do that to my enemy unless I truly needed something from them." I couldn't help the humor that escaped my voice as I clapped back at his threat to kill me as I pointed out what he could've done a few hours before but never did as my words brought him even closer to me. The sudden urge to headbutt his mask washed over me again as I awaited his reaction.

"Hm, you are so right. I do need something from you, but I will show you to the guest side of my quarters." He spoke with the same amount of humor he got from me as he strolled over to a wall as a panel was raised, as it made me feel confused. What the hell? Walking behind him with only curiosity, I followed into another room with a large bed big enough to fit more than one person on it as another door led into a large enough bathroom complete with an oval bathtub, a glass shower, sink, storage, and a standard toilet.

"When my men and I retrieved you from that barren wasteland in Jakku, we searched that stolen X-Wing fighter ship to search for a few of your personal belongings, only taking what you would need to survive. Your clothes have been moved into these bins here, as well as your boots underneath. Undergarments have been moved to fit in this storage bin here, along with a few of your necessities are located in the bathroom. Any additional clothes can be made here for you." Ren spoke so casually.

I remembered what the doctor spoke about him having women in here before as he further explained where different things were in the room, like extra blankets and pillows for the bed. So many things in his words made me get upset as he thought I would ever live here permanently, thinking that the X-Wing was stolen when it was a gift originally, all the way to touching my belongings as I wanted to take the time to find the Gray Jedi journal, hoping it didn't get left behind along with the X-Wing. Luke and my parents gave me that ship. Turning to him as he finished his rant about where everything was, I narrowed my eyes at his stupid mask as he placed his hands behind his back, only to face me.

"I can feel your curiosity and your anger Amara. I wanted to keep you alive because you are strong with the force."

"So this is how you treat all of your female prisoners?"

"I no longer see you as one. You are now my guest."

"You're my enemy, Kylo Ren. I'm still trying to resist the urge to either slice your head off or rip your heart out." I snapped at him as he spoke to me so casually and calmly as I wanted to rip his whole body and this ship apart.

"You still wish to kill me, Amara?" He questioned as I scoffed but gave him my answer.

"Better you die than I," I spoke my infamous words to the Jedi Killer as I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned on one leg while keeping my eyes on him. I may not have been able to see into his mind, but like he could feel my emotions, I could feel his. And it seemed like my famous line bothered him as he slowly dropped his head to the side and looked away from me.

"I see your reputation proceeds you, Amara Djinn. But unlike you, I do not see you as my enemy. You hold great power within you, something just as strong as myself, and because of that, I will hold off on killing you. But if you should try to escape, I will have no choice but to punish you for it. You may leave my quarters if everything of mine is that boring to you, but you cannot leave this ship. Also, please do not harm anyone on my ship as a request based on your deadly reputation. Like you, I do need them alive." He spoke with such high pride and confidence; I almost saw an identical mirror image of myself as he decided to close in on me, but I stood my ground the second he stopped mere inches from my body. Looking up into his visor, my eyes shifted back and forth, looking for anything that seemed remotely visible as I only saw the reflection of my violet eyes.

"Don't think for a second that I won't have my eyes and ears on you, Amara, especially if you plan to leave these quarters." He spoke in a deficient tone as he decided it was safe to bring his hands to hold my face as he spoke his words. Wrapping my hands around his covered wrists, he angled his head to the side as I stepped closer to him while erasing the last of the space between us. I could practically see my breath against his helmet.

"Don't think for a second I won't try to kill you in your sleep, Ren, because last I checked, you were the one who invited a monster to sleep in your quarters," I spoke as I pushed my head against his stupid mask as I spoke in a seductive yet deadly tone as I ripped my head away from his grip and giggled before turning my back and taking off my jacket. Throwing it onto the bed, I took a few seconds the take off my tank top as I threw that onto my jacket before looking back at Ren, who stood there, unmoving. Turning around in just my bra, pants, and boots, I flipped both sides of my long and wavy hair behind my shoulders and smiled seductively.

"Want to help me with the rest, Kylo Ren?" I smiled wickedly as he grunted in response before leaving the bedroom for good.

Smirking at his childish move, I turned on my heel to look at the belongings they did bring as I searched my bag for the most important thing. Feeling for the object, I finally pulled it from my bag as a smile formed on my face. Opening the book, I could see all of my songs still intact as I wrapped the leather string around the book and placed it back inside the bag before tossing it to the floor in the corner. Looking down at my black bra, I couldn't help but bite my bottom lip before chuckling.

"Your loss, Kylo Ren. Men love me." Well, they try to before I rip their hearts out.
