Silently, we stayed in place and hugged for a while, only our sniffles and exhausted breaths audible.
Neither of us had dared to let go and instead continued to hold the other in their warm arms.

It was unexpected to share such a vulnerable and sweet moment, but I couldn't be more happier about it.
It's what I had wished for all along.

Even if we might not have known it beforehand, we had needed the closeness that we felt right now and I was glad to finally have less of a burden weighing down on me.

It took a while for us to finally calm down, the sun already being set by the time we looked back at one another.

Donghyuck was the first one to break our little hug, slightly brushing my black disheveled hair with his fingeres before stroking a strand behind my ear.

His pink, puffy cheeks, his curled, but now messy hair and his soft smile only made my heart beat a little faster while my hands were still clinging onto his jacket.

"The things you said on the phone", he began, reminding me of the call had had not too long ago.
"You didn't mean them, did you?"

Sighing and sniffling I shook my head, smiling at him weakly despite the bad memory that day brought.

"No, I didn't...", I admitted.
"To be honest, I got into a huge argument with my members and the things they said to me kinda affected my actions."

"Are you alright?"

I could tell my the calm way he talked and looked at me, that he really was concerned about the things going on within my gang. When I had told him to leave me alone, he had probably been more than just confused  and hurt.

DRGNS was the reason I why had pushed the boy I liked away and now that I knew the full story of what had happened in the past, I wasn't quite sure how to face them again.
Of course I had to tell them the truth, but the last time I had tried to talk to them about NCT obviously didn't turn out the way I had planned it.

"Yeah..." I mumbled quietly, not sure whether I was actually telling the truth or lying to myself.

"I'll fix it. I don't know how, but I'll fix it. About our two gangs working together tho, I don't think it is going to happen."

Nodding at my words, he just shrugged his shoulders while his fingertips kept playing with the tips of my hair.

"Don't worry. If there's nothing you can do about it, then so be it. I'll tell Taeyong that you couldn't convince them, okay?"
