I was the moon, you were the sun
I can't seem to shine now that you're gone
You ran out of orbit cause you left with no word
Are you somewhere better now?

Jeongguk's entire being jolted in panic when a pair of hands ripped him from his bed.

He turned and met his father's eyes, his stomach dropping when Junseo yelled.

"Fire. Out of the cabin, now!"

Jeongguk could barely feel his feet moving as they bolted through the corridor and scaled down the stairs.

As soon as they were out the door, his father was hollering. "Fire! Fire! Fire!"

Shivering in his pajamas, Jeongguk did a three-sixty to take in his surroundings as people began to leave their cabins in murmurs of alarm.

It was the cabin next to theirs. Flames consumed the bottom half of the structure in furies of red, right under Taehyung's open window.

Every fiber in Jeongguk's body froze.

"Tae!" He screamed the same way he did in his dream.

No no no no.

Junseo got to their door quicker than his son, pounding his fist against it. "Wake up! Your cabin's on fire!"

Jeongguk's eyes were glued to Taehyung's window, heart caught in his throat. Screams. There were a lot of screams. And suddenly— finally for fuck's sake— the door burst open and out came the Kim family. Except, Taehyung wasn't on his two feet.

"Someone get help!"

Seokjin carried his brother a long distance away from the fire before placing him down on the ground. "Sit up. Don't lie down. You'll choke."

Jeongguk was too stunned to move a muscle, hand clasped over his mouth as he gawked in mid-horror.

Taehyung couldn't even respond to his brother, lightheaded and coughing violently. Ash gathered around his nose and mouth, eyes red and irritated. He gagged and wheezed, clawing at Seokjin's shirt as his brother urged him to stay upright.

For a split second, their eyes met, Jeongguk's locking onto Taehyung's behind tousled bangs. And Jeongguk thought he might suffocate under his gaze before the brunette broke into another coughing fit and looked the other way.

Some people began emptying buckets and bottles of water over the fire. It was a fairly small one, but the smoke had done enough damage. Taehyung was swarmed with the camp nurses, most in their nightgowns, and they started checking the poor boy's airflow.

He couldn't bear to watch Taehyung in that state anymore, so Jeongguk decided to run and help put out the fire, discarding shock to the back of his mind.

That's when he spotted the heap of firecrackers in the grass, merely a few feet away from the cabin. They were left behind. Someone left them behind.

To the far side of the scene, Jeongguk spotted a figure moving discreetly under the shadows, backing away from the scene, and that's when he broke into a sprint.

Maybe it was the anger that provided him the sudden burst of energy to chase the convict down, grabbing a fistful of blonde hair as soon as he was close enough to.

"What did you do?" Jeongguk shouted, yanking hard.

"It was an accident!" Carter cried, equally exasperated.
