Kantooni woke to pain. She let out a high pitched shriek and thrashed, but strong arms pinned her down. Hands bigger than that of Ahsoka. Her bad leg throbbed in agony as she tried to move it, but was stopped. There was another gut wrenching twist of her leg by the person holding her down.

Her stomach turned and she forced down bile as she struggled.

Ahsoka said he would hurt me can't move she lied it hurts, please make it stop she lied-

The hands holding her down disappeared, and smaller ones stroked over the blue white scales on her head. Kantooni squirmed away, the movement sending shocks through her leg.

She sniffed and stifled another sob, choking slightly. She held still for several minutes and Ahsoka didn't try to touch her again.

She blinked open her eyes slowly, and waited for them to focus. Ahsoka sat next to her.

"You said he wouldn't hurt me." Kantooni whispered, tears spilling over again. Ahsoka slipped an arm under her and helped her sit up. Her leg throbbed at he motion and she gave another yelp.

"I know, I know." Ahsoka wiped away the tears and brushed her hand over the scales on her head again. "I'm sorry. If we waited for you to be awake you would have tensed up and hurt yourself worse."

"You said he wouldn't hurt me." Kantooni whispered again, pressing into the couch she was laying on.

"I know. He's not here now. He didn't like hearing you scream when I asked him to help me." Ahsoka picked the blanket that had fallen off Kantooni when she struggled off the floor and settled it across the young girl's shoulders. "Look, look at your leg."

Kantooni didn't want too. The stretched out Z shape had made her stomach turn over when ever she did. She peeked down at it, steeling herself.

To her surprise, it was splinted and tied with a white cloth. From knee to ankle it was a perfectly straight line. The bruising was worse than before, deep reds and blues swirling down her leg.

She stared at it for a long moment, uncompromising. She could twitched her ankle and it throbbed, but it was much better than before.

"I'm sorry, Kantooni. I didn't mean to betray your trust." Ahsoka said. Kantooni relaxed a bit, huddling into Ahsoka's side.

"You fixed it." She rasped, wincing a little as she pointed her bare foot, sharp pain curling up through her leg along the bruising.

Ahsoka shook her head. "No, we set it. It won't be completely healed for another couple weeks. But it's straight now."

There was a soft knock at the door. Rex pushed it open, a bag of ice in one hand and a towel in the other. He and Ahsoka exchanged a look. He nodded, and crouched down by the couch. He gently spread the towel over the worst of the bruising and swelling and set the ice bag on top of the towel.

He didn't say anything, and kept his movements slow and obvious. Kantooni reached forward and caught his wrist. Rex froze, not quite knowing what to do.

"Thank you. I'm sorry for freaking out. I just wasn't expecting..." She trailed off, letting him go.

"A clone?" He said bluntly. Kantooni mnodded. "It's alright, kid. I didn't know you were here." He glanced up at Ahsoka and smiled.

"I'll be back by tonight. Late." He kissed her on the forehead. "Don't stay up for me." He said. Ahsoka raised an eyemarking. " 'Soka, I mean it. You need your rest."

"Alright! Fine. I won't wait and worry for you until you come home." She said, throwing her hands in the air in exasperation. "Just don't get hurt. Working on those ships is dangerous." She sighed. Rex grinned.
