"But we are not going to see her for a long time, Sahadev." The second Madreya's laughter died down when his eyes met Nakul's tearful ones.
He saw despair floating in them. The most handsome man in Aryavart suddenly looked a lot older than his age. Sahadev couldn't tell if it was him giving up on hope, or just the pain of separation.
"We will be back, Nakul." He hesitantly chimed in.
Not getting a response from him, he exchanged a worried look with Krishna, who seemed equally gloomy. Nakul exhaled loudly, and kissed Kairavi and their son on the forehead.
He got up from the ground and strode out of the door, not looking back.
"He resents jyeshth bhrata now." Govind remarked dismally, glancing at the vacant doorway.
